To start this little guide off, some frequently asked questions:
1. Will botting get me banned?
NO, you can NOT get banned unless an ungodly amount of people reports you with enough evidence.
2. What bot should I use?
I recommend you to DEFINITELY use RSBot for botting. It's the safest, most up-to-date and best overall free bot around!

3. Why bot at all?
The main reason why bots were made in the first place is to replace boring tasks in games (Grinding).
But if you want to spend your time staring at a screen 24/7, then do not continue reading this thread and go to the other

Okay, now to the most important part:

HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND SET UP RSBot:[/B]
For that you need:
1. JDK and JRE
2. Tortoise sVN
3. RSBot SVN Version (Don't download the plain JAR file, as you cannot add scripts there)
First of all, you need JDK and JRE:

After doing all that you will need TortoiseSVN, which you can get here:

Download it, install it, restart computer.
[B]NOW we're gonna use the SVN to get the latest version of RSBot:[/B]
1. Create a new folder where ever you want and name it either RSBot or PowerBot
2. Right click on it and Select "SVN Checkout"
3. copy and paste [B]svn://dev.powerbot.org/rsbot/trunk[/B] into the url of repository
4. Click OK and it will start downloading.
5. You're almost done! Now click on Compile and wait a few seconds.
6. Go to the data folder and run the JAR file and Bot Away!

[B]How to install new scripts:[/B]
1. Most scripts you will get from here: [url]http://www.powerbot.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=10[/url]
They are categorized as you can see, so pick whatever skill you're botting right now.[B]
NOTE: To view the scripts you will need to register on RSBot.[/B]
2. Now, most scripts will not give you any kind of file, instead they'll give you the code of the script
(This is to ensure that the script is safe to use and has no password stealers)
3. Create a new text document in RSBot/scripts and paste the code in said Text Document.
4. Save the script as "ScriptName.java"[B]
NOTE: REPLACE SCRIPT NAME WITH WHATEVER NAME THE SCRIPT HAS, THAT IS USUALLY SPECIFIED IN THE THREAD![/B]
5. Compile RSBot.
6. Run the bot and you should see the script in the list!

I highly recommend babysitting your bot if you're on a main. Because there WILL be WBMs that will try to report you.
I also recommend not running around as a naked lvl 3 character... for obvious reasons.

It cant be that hard to take an argument from one place to another.
You should think about adding in a few links and installing tutorials and stuff you can find on youtube and that, just so questions get answered faster.
I don't bot, so have no idea.

Epic Woodcutter is shit, after about 5 minutes it just breaks and runs off to a random location.
Wait, just read on the forums how to fix that problem. Just Disable the "break handler" inside the RSBot client and it shouldn't run off anymore.

I'm currently at level 47. 1-47 with the bot, in a few hours, It would have been faster if I was babysitting it and not napping (got stuck in a random xD) It would have probably taken me a week to get to 47 if I was honestly doing it my self.
Its awesome! Hasn't broken once, It walks you to wherever it needs to go and will also go out of its way to get you one of your axe's from your bank!
Gonna try Zombie Fish tomorrow, I'll let you guys know.

All bots seem to get stuck in randoms, so I guess its a good thing to babysit them if you don't already do it.
Ghost Fisher is good, not GREAT, but good. It clicks really, really fast but you can edit the .java to slow it down.
I got to 57 fishing and got 1.8K Lobbys before I figured I was done with it.

Over 70 on Epic_Woodcutter and I have no idea what you're talking about. :)

I heard the bot banning pattern's goes like this:
1st offence: 14 day ban
2nd offence: 21 day ban
3rd offence: Perma
I'm thinking about botting up until the first ban. Is it worth it?

they're perfectly legal but they get shut down once the guys notice that 50 people are using them at once
