Perhaps you have been victim of file corruption which also victimised your gamesaves? Maybe you just wish to transfer your gamesave(s) to your new machine, or to take with you to a friend's? With GameSave Manager, you can easily backup, restore and transfer your gamesave(s). No longer do you need to manually track through all of the those different directories to backup/restore/transfer your gamesaves, making it great for those who like to share gamesave progress with friends/family, format frequently, paranoid about data loss, etc.
GameSave Manager is a very handy little application that allows you to easily back up and restore individual save games or your entire library. It currently has a database of more than 1,000 saves and growing, and includes the option to add your own, custom savegame paths. There is, however, one more feature of note, that makes this, in my opinion, a must-have app. The app comes with a functionality called "Sync and Link" that can create symbolic links for your save games to one centralized location. If you don't know what a Symbolic Link is, then for the purposes of this conversation it's more or less a more powerful version of a shortcuts you might have on your desktop. This means that all your save games can reside in one centralized location, but the actual locations of the saves never really change. What does this mean? Well, it might seem to be of dubious importance at first, but once you realize you can stick the Sync and Link folder into your Dropbox, Google Drive, or other similar cloud folders... All of your save games will now constantly and automatically be on the cloud.
Sync & Link Move your gamesaves into your favourite 'Cloud Storage' service, allowing for true 'in-the-cloud' saves. This is achieved via the use of 'Symbolic Links'. Don't use 'Cloud Storage' services? Move your saves to a directory of your choosing for easier management.
All of these functions can be performed effortlessly and automatically. This is a nifty free program, and I realize that many of you already know about it, but if you don't, I hope Ive made your life easier.
