I'm new to WoW and my friend recommended this guide to me, it uses the TomTom gps arrow and it tells you exactly where to go to finish the quests.
Anyway, I'm on the level 13-20 part and it's telling me to go talk to this npc to get a quest, and the npc isn't offering a quest. So.. I skipped it.
Finished another quest, and then started the one it old me to, and the person who is supposed to give me the quest, didn't.
So, what's going on?
Btw, this part of the guide takes place in Ogrimmar/Barrens/Crossroads... which isn't in my home nation, since I'm horde/undead. Is this the reason, and if so, how do I correct it?
The guide is probably wrong. Don't use guides. Just play the game instead of following this guide that tells you exactly what to do.
It's most likely because of quest chains.

This.. Also, Guides are usually a total rip off. All you really need is QuestHelper/Carbonite and a brain.
wow-pro.com got my first char (priest) from 1-80 on 9 days and 20 hours. I find that ok.
Free guide ^^
I'm sure going on WOW-POWERLEVELLINGFREE.COM would be better

I know the link sounds dodgy but trust me when I say its legit.
Helped me a stupid amount with the 40-60 zones.

Post of the week. Fuck that, post of the month.
lol@that...
Back on topic-ish... what's the fastest/most reliable way to level?
I've been following a guide since I started (well, since level 5), and it's not working.
Before level 5 though, I used to grind, but that seems way to slow now, since I get 100 exp tops per kill... meaning 110 kills to level to 14.... that seems a little longer than I'd like.
How do I know what quests to do in order to get the best exp?
I mean, I checked out carbonite, which is helpful but it doesn't tell you what quests to go to, is there an addon that does?
your common sense should tell you that, you do quests, they tell you to go to new places, do quests there, they tell you to go to new places, repeat

Section mod is just gonna make your head swell even more.

QH won't inform you that a few specific items you have been vendoring are going to be required for later quests or you should buy item(XYZ) from the auction-house before leaving the city, etc. I've saved more than a little bit of time, and that's all guides are good for if you're looking to cut corners.

you see, normally i would agree, but jimbo actually does things that are actually worth getting a swelled head
You gotta start guides from level 1 or they don't work because they expected you to do things you already/can't do.
Or 58/68 whatever.
But i've never used guides, it just makes it feel like a job instead of a game.
If you're going to use a guide, use Jame's guide! I have no good explanation as to why you should, but I remember using it for one character after a friend suggested it, and I thought it was pretty great.
Although for characters I want to put time into myself I usually just quest and all that stuff myself. It's not that hard.

I agree, but you can't say his head won't swell.
To get into a guide you can select 3 steps.
1-58
58-70
70-80

or were u just gmod Illuminati with no power
If you started after you made your char, it's going to be all fucked up. It's sort of meant for starting from Level 1, or if you started questing in Northrend.
yea and don't do anything it doesn't say because it will fuck up
your common sense should tell you that, you do quests, they tell you to go to new places, do quests there, they tell you to go to new places, repeat
Yes and guides tell you how to do it in the shortest amount of time.
