Why so many hl2 versions? - Games

I mean there's HL2 HL2:Classic HL2:Game of The Year HL2 Survivor not released as said on IGN I mean are there any differences ? [highlight](User was permabanned for this post ("alt of permabanned user" - Jimbomcb))[/highlight]

Half-Life 2: Survivor is an arcade game that's completely different.

There is no difference between "classic" and "game of the year". Survivor is a Japan-only arcade version of Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.

HL2 Survivor is a first person arcade game (like the ones you find in movie theaters with the plasticy gun things) in which you don't even play as Gordon.

They simply contain different bonus games, just like The Orange Box.

from what I know the GOTY edition gives you some other games as well

The 1st version of the game I bought came with Half Life 2 Deathmatch and Counterstrike:Source. It was a boxed retail version.
