• Can Facepunch reccomend a game with some cool dynamic stuff (water, physx sort of stuff)

I'm looking for a game where I can either: - Destroy stuff (Like DMM) - See shit change according to what I do with it (Like shooting cloth in mirror's edge) - Dynamic Bodies (I want to be able to cut shit up) Anybody know any games like this? Edit: Preferably free, and I'm gonna have to take out anything needing a nvidia card >:(
There aren't really games like that out yet. Oh sure, you can find tech demos; but I'm sure you've already played them to death. And even then the demos do not incorporate all of the elements you mentioned.
Crysis and Red Faction: Guerilla has destructible enviroments. Cryostasis has PhysX, including water physics. Crysis also has some VERY simple water physics. The Postal 2 AWP mod has limb dismemberment. That's all I can think of for now.

There's no game I know that includes all three, although separately they're found quite often.
Someone post me some awesome tech demo's.
I think if all three would be combined, it would cause the biggest controversy there is in the world (Add freeroam with killing whoever you want for even bigger one)
For dynamic bodies, there was this Ogre soft body physics test thing I tried a few years back, you could cut off parts of zombies etc. [editline]12:37AM[/editline] oh look here it is http://www.realmatter.com/
Metro 2033 has a good gore system, you can take the knife and chop pieces off people's faces, and in Soldier of Fortune you can blow chunks out of people.
Warmonger is a free physx game showcasing physx capabilities.
Does it have to look good? If not, then Dwarf Fortress.
Voxelstein has destructible environments and bodies. It's 3D pixels though, but if something is completely severed from everything else, it will fall away. Only one level, but it's fun and free. You can also mod the weapons so the knife is a chainsaw which can slice things from across the map. http://voxelstein3d.blogspot.com/2008/04/v-o-x-e-l-s-t-e-i-n-3-d.html
if you want to fucking dig your way around the enemies to flank them, play red faction

Edit: No, honestly it did.
Someone should really implant everything the OP mentioned into the "Fuck Shit Up: The Game"-idea and develop the game.
Does it have to look good? If not, then Dwarf Fortress.
That's only very basic dynamic water, a better example for that would be Minecraft.
That's only very basic dynamic water, a better example for that would be Minecraft.
Minecraft has even worse water, since it doesn't drain.
Your description sounds like you would enjoy Toribash, it may not be what you are looking for.
Hydrophobia, when released, for the water.
Cellfactor requires PHYSIX
OECake
Crayon Physics Deluxe
Hydrophobia, when released, for the water.
As far as I know, I think Hydrophobia is a XBLA exclusive.
Fucking Microsoft.
Okay, PhysX only doesn't lag for me in Mirror's Edge. That warmonger game lagged me to shit with physx enabled. Time to test ogre.
Hydrophobia, when released, for the water.
Rabies is getting released? Fuuu-
Realmatter is kickass
That's only very basic dynamic water, a better example for that would be Minecraft.
Hahahahahaha, ha. No.
Minecraft has even worse water, since it doesn't drain.
You obviously haven't played /indev/ Minecraft then. Notch made the water dynamic
You obviously haven't played /indev/ Minecraft then. Notch made the water dynamic
It tends to evaporate a whole lake when you destroy a single block next to water that isn't connected to the ocean, the water doesn't push things around and it doesn't have pressure.
