Rogue Survivor: Roguelike Sandbox Zombie Game! - Games

So I just found this game that's in development, its pretty much my dream game and I wanted to share it with you guys. It plays like a roguelike and uses graphical tilesets. I'm going to cut this post short as I want to start playing it but I'll leave some copy/paste here from the author, hope you guys like it! Trying this out, seems cool.

Ok I just died in my first game, some guard survivor guy killed me. There's a manual in the download that everyone should read as well, it's pretty confusing if you don't read it.

Great game, it is seriously the game I want most, would love an upgrade of graphics, but that's to be honest, that can wait, this is awesome, good find.

Fuck yeah, leadership! Everyone else dies for me! Day 2, hour 9. Goddamn zombie surprised me JUST when I found food.

Hilarious game. I started out with two people in a bedroom, went outside for a while. Went into another house and ran into a zombie. So I quickly got outside only two find two dudes running away from me while being followed by two more fucking zombies. They corner me outside and are slowly killing. :( Awesome game! :v: My bad, apparently the two zombies were skeleton! Holy shit. Scary stuff. Tried again. This time I played as a woman with light eater. Duh :v: I killed a zombie with a hunting rifle then I recruited some other lady. She tried to sacrifice herself for me but she killed the zombie. I was at like 10hp left and I turned a corner and BAM! Dead. This game is fun.

I can never recruit anyone, how do you do it? I try bumping into them and all they ever want to do is trade some shit item for my good one. :/

"Roguelike Sandbox Zombie Game!" Made me download it no matter what.

Gonna try it. Also, it looks like a byond game.

I've always wanted something exactly like this, but in 3D. The Penumbra engine would be perfect for that, with the barricading and stuff. But this looks pretty sweet. Might take some getting used to though.

My goal, when I finish my Game Design, 3D Modelling etc. course, is to make a free roaming zombie survival game, it's the FIRST game I need to make. This will have to do until then. XD

How do you recruit people? I read the guide it just said that I can not how. Also can you pick up things on the ground? It seems like you can't.

I wish it was ASCII, the badly made MSPaint drawing ruin it for me, still gonna try it though.

I didn't really feel like I was having any fun while playing, it certainly wasn't bad but it wasn't anything more than average either. This is all obviously just my opinion though, it's also an alpha so there's lots of room to improve and hopefully bring the gameplay up a bit.

I thought it was another generic clone, but when I saw that it had actual graphics, it seemed like there was more than enough time put into gameplay coding :)

I played it, it was awkward to play at best. i was expecting this great zombie survival. Instead I was running around whacking skeletons until I got shot by some guy for about 5 days.
