So basically I run a Minecraft Alpha server, and all of a sudden, theres this giant network lag
Everyone on the Server experiences it, when someone tries to say something theres a hug gap before it actually is said, same for opening crafting boxes and chests
How can I stop this from happening?

get a better internet connection or server
Make sure you aren't downloading or doing anything else that uses a lot of bandwidth. Also test your connection speed to make sure you are capable of running a server.
My eldest sister came home when it started
I'm guessing its her use making the network strain?
