Diablo 2: How do I know how fast Normal/fast/Very Fast attack speeds are?

I've been playing Diablo 2 With the expansion installed, and I've Noticed the attack speed system is fairly vague. I merely want to know how fast normal attack speed is. I'm trying to compare 2 weapons to see which one I should be using. Really All i need is to know like, Normal equal to 1 attack per second, and fast is like one attack every .6 seconds or something.

use this to find out how many frames it takes for you to attack.

IAS = increased attack speed.
