Ever since fallout new Vegas, I've given up on Bethesda. The buggy game was more of an expansion than a sequel, I felt the same for skyrim. I thought of skyrim as a oblivion, but you shout at dragons while duel wielding, oh, and snow. My friend told me dragons get annoying when you have to fight five in two minutes and just have a few fleshwounds, and he said they were too easy. And then I heard dawngaurd was just vampires killing people and you going into caves you've already been through (Please tell me more about it if I'm wrong).
Now onto interplay, they made the first two fallouts, then Bethesda made the third, don't get me wrong, fallout 3 was okay, but that's not what I'm getting at. Interplay wanted to make an original online version of fallout with online play, then Bethesda comes in and stops them, then Bethesda made the elder scrolls online, and it will be nothing like the elder scrolls, and a lot like fallout... So they Bethesda swapped the two game's gameplay. The last game I bought from them was rage, and it was mediocre, and my last hope for them is doom 4. I really don't care if you disagree, so feel free to tell me whatever you think.
Bethesda didn't make Rage and they're not making Doom 4 either.
So... you haven't actually played Skyrim, yet you think it's just an Oblivion remake, and go off everything your friend says. That's not a very good way to judge a game.
No, I've played it, it's just I gave up on it after I got bored of it. My friend tells me about what he thinks of it.
I didn't like Skyrim the first time I played it, but I heard it was so good I had to keep playing. Two hours in and I really got into it. If you're like me, it takes a while to get into it. Unless you mean you've played it like everyone else for 150 hours [i]and then[/i] got bored of it.
I don't think everyone is getting my real point, I'm not dissing Bethesda, I'm just wondering why they flipped the two game's core gameplay.

Rage, Doom, and New Vegas aren't made by Beth. Neither is TESO. Interplay died and Beth had nothing to do with it, and they definitely weren't making an online game for Fallout, they were working on Fallout 3 which was called Van Buren. Beth picked the name back up and made their own Fallout 3. Also you admitted to not playing a game very much and are going off what someone else tells you.

Personally I don't enjoy Skyrim all that much, but I don't know why. I understand why most people love the game, and those are reasons I would typically love a game as well but...I don't know, something about the game just doesn't "tick" with me. I wish I knew what it was.

All the caves in the Dawnguard Main Quest were new.
