Dead Rising 2 won't start

I bought Dead Rising 2 and it just finished installing but when i try to start it something from GamesForWindows comes up saying * Games For Windows - Live must verify the release date of your game. Please make sure that your computer is connected to the internet.

No personal information will be sent to microsoft. A LIVE ID is not required.* i tried downloading the Games For Windows client thing but it won't do anything :'(

I also posted this on the steam forums but no luck yet
