I just played it after a year hiatus, it seems like 3 in 4 people are hacking, I can just shoot a person while crouching with the para for 4 seconds but they won't die, however they can lock on to my head and one shot me with an AK from half way across the map

Spraying is practically suicide in CSS unless it's at point blank range.

I take it you're a CoD player if you don't understand that there's recoil in this game. You know what recoil is? It's when your gun reacts to the firing. You see, guns don't actually stay still, they have a little push in them when you fire! I know its a hard thing to grasp, but that's reality. To counter recoil, you have to pace your shots, instead of firing full on because you will be very inaccurate. Do you understand me now?
I play CSS on and off, but I've never noticed many hackers in any server I've ever been in. You just suck.

I do smell a flarewar starting to come out of you. You best calm down and learn how to play CSS.
Spraying with para vs. aiming with AK. Kind of a no-brainer.
CS takes time to adjust to, especially if you're new or haven't played in a significant amount of time. Rather than get angry and yell about it, focus on getting better at the game (I don't mean that as an insult. I mean practice, identify your mistakes, repeat, etc.)
Make a video of your gameplay and upload it to YouTube. So then we can determine your level of bad.

Wow, you're pretty stupid. It was the first game I bought on Steam and I've had it for 4 years. I played it over a span of 4 years, and even then you can't really believe I spent each and every minute in-game playing. And I'm actually pretty bad at it. Do I play competitively? Not a chance. Not anywhere near to that kind of good, I'm a pretty bad player and I know it. The thing is, you're a pretty bad player too and instead of admitting it, you go on blaming the game, saying people are hackers and calling it shit. I'm not treating it like some kind of sport, I'm treating you like a ten year old cause you seriously can't understand the concept of recoil.
PARAs are machine guns, and they have a lot of recoil. The only way you'll actually kill someone full spray on with that thing is point blank, or if you get lucky, crouch or no crouch.
You're still just showing you're just being ignorant. You're telling me to get out more cause I'm a buttmad nerd (its also butthurt) when you're only example of why CS:S is bad is one, terrible and unreasonable example that you expect us to agree on when it's absolutely your fault.

It's the act of firing as many un-aimed bullets in the general direction of the for and praying one of them hits something vital.
Meanwhile, your opponent has spotted you, slowed, taken aim and placed a bullet neatly into your nose.

how about you take note and learn to adapt. you were doing it wrong (especially since Para is quite inaccurate), your foe was doing it right. accept this, adapt to the CS gamestyle, and kick ass.
