• Games with interesting Spells?

I recently played through a lot of my old RPGs, and when i look at newer ones, the Mage skilltrees are almost identical in every game. You get the standard fireball, freezin' or lightning stuff. I was wondering if there is any game that has actually interesting magic that goes beyond setting people on fire. I want to smash people against walls with my mind like in Dark Messiah when i'm playing a Mage, the Elder Scrolls series has good magic too, but no real use for it. Would be awesome if you could recommend any titles. (User was banned for this post ("Post your" - Orkel))

Runescape :downs:
Dude, i played Morrowind for years and it has incredibly much magic. The only useful spells apart from damage ones are solid water and levitation. Yes, the draining and absorption spells are fun but that's about it. I guess I simply played too much of that game to find it awesome anymore.
