looking for a Space explore game - Games

Hey facepunch for a while i was looking around i see all those space sims, all amazing and stuff, but 9/10 times its vaporware or its far from release. Simply i'm looking for a game where you upgrade your ship, have alot control over the ship and (optional) multiplayer. heard alot about EVE but i rather not pay for monthly subscription (maybe that will change :v:)

X3 is good, but it really is just exploring empty space. Planets are simply part of the skybox.

X3 really isn't 'space exploration' being you can only be within a certain proximity of the stations and gates you go through. Orbiter is a good choice but if you're one of those people who like good graphics games then it's not really for you. There's Noctis, but the graphics are a bit worse than Orbiter but it offers a slightly higher variety. If you're into 4X space games then I'd recommend Sins of a Solar Empire, Galactic Civilizations 2, and [url=http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=933349]Star Ruler[/url].

Your best bet would be X3, like already mentioned. Although it's somewhat hard to get into. I failed at learning it.

...Spore... well maybe with that one expansion, I don't know but it was kind of fun playing it every now and then.

Noctis You can't upgrade anything but you can explore billions of planets in a galaxy about 90 thousand light years in radius. By explore I do mean get out and walk around on the planet's surface.

Meh, me and a few people we're working on something like this, but i think we all gave up when we see all the trailers and videos of Infinity.

I saw this one game called Ad Astra, where you can land on planets and get in space fights and stuff. It had kind of crappy graphics, and I couldn't really figure it out, but it looked really cool.
