That first time you play a game and you realise "holy shit, i can go wherever the fuck i want!?", being confused out of your mind and figuring shit out, going on missions/quests depending on the game.
My first was oblivion, i remember walking into a game shop and seeing it on the shelf thinking it was a hack'n'slash game, but when i played it i was pleasantly surprised being unleashed upon cyrodil!
Probably GTA 2. I was like 'okay, now where do I go', followed by a 'HOLY SHIT THERE'S A TANK IN THIS ALLEY AND I CAN DRIVE IT'.

I remember playing a game for the Commodore64 when i was like 10. It was called "New York City", you could drive around town in a car or go on foot and enter alot of buildings. All these buildings had little minigames. If you crashed your car the toe truck came to pick your car up and you had to walk all the way to the garage to get it back. I played it shitloads. :biggrin:
