What do you guys think? Personally I think EA is a horrible gaming company that cares more about making money than pleasing its fans. It seems like every time I buy a game from them I run into some sort of issue. For example...
When I got Spore, I was one of people that got the faulty first companies with online codes that didn't work. I ended up spending about an hour waiting at there customer service so i could get a new code. Later I had to go through all of that over again when i made the jump to windows 7.
Their Mass Effect 2 game on PC. I know its a great game, but they did a REALLY bad PC versions considering the hardware options. You had no choice over texture resolutions which causes me some bad fps when I'm playing it. The only options they seem to give you are less important configurations such as whether you want motion blur for when your running. Also the options for gameplay are poor too. The mouse sensitivity has three options, instead of a slider. It seems a lot like it is a PC port from the console.
This is more general but still has to be said. Since when have they given you free content for a game. I don't remember any time I've gotten any. Do you?
So I just want to ask you all, what do you think of EA? If you feel like a poll states your opinion enough feel free to comment as to what you think of them.
(P.S. Do you think I should change this to companys like them in general? AKA Ubisoft, Activision, etc.)
EA aren't the least
What about activision?

True, I should maybe change it to those kinds of companys in general.
EA Games
JUST KIDDING REHASH BUGGY CASH IN LOL, oh did we mention money
EA's not great, but they aren't terrible either.
They're called publishers.
The Mass Effect series were made by BioWare

Yea, thats kinda my opinion too, I know I sound really negative of them in my post but I also enjoy many of their other games.

True, but it was published by EA.
HATE EA = Bandwagon effect.
EA doesn't really make games. They publish like 90% of the games you see EA labelled on.
I think they make sports games. But I'm not sure since I don't follow sports games in the least bit.

True, but you would think they would have some control over whats in the game, Im not saying they're horrible but they do seem to not care as much.
They have made some dick moves in the past but they have been quite alight lately.
Activision on the other hand I truly despise.
Summon Leetsepeak
Just agree to the truth that publishers are the business middle men only in it for the money between the awesome game devs and the customers and put this argument to bed.
Seriously, every week there's a new thread just like this one.
Since the shift of CEO in EA they've improved a bit and reverted some of their shitty decisions they made in the first place. Still a long way to come even close to a ValvE level.
EA games
Activision
Ubisoft Montreal/Shanghai
[editline]10:25AM[/editline]
those are probably the worst ^
They haven't been too bad lately.
Activision and Ubisoft can go fuck themselves though.
I think they are ok.
At least compared to Activision.
EA aren't that bad, they're improving, somewhat.
I like a ton of EA games, and they're getting better.
Activision should be the one that we hate.
EA used to be bad but now they're much better.
Activision however are money hungry cunts destroying the industry.
I like EA. Without them we wouldn't have a majority of the good games today. They are a fine publisher that had problems in the past but has worked hard to fix most of them.
It's funny how you blame Mass Effect 2 texture resolution on EA, when Bioware is the one who made the menu and could've added that option talk to them about it.
But back on topic I like EA, not back in the old times but Activision is old EA and new EA is just its own.
EA have a habbit of shitting all over good games.
I find it humorous that you automatically assume EA is the least caring company out there, simply because everyone else says it is.
You forgot about Activision, or Ubisoft.

Aren't all companies like that?
Personally I think EA is a horrible gaming company that cares more about making money than pleasing its fans.
No shit Einstein. Same as every other company, regardless of what they do.
The objective and reason of existence of any business is to make their shareholders richer. If you don't like them, don't buy from them, it's as simple as that.

Oh hey look at that! You're jumping on the EA hate bandwagon without any true reason to. You want a horrible gaming company? Look at Ubisoft or Activision.
I don't like EA, but not hate. I'm just mad that 2142 doesn't work on Windows 7, and they don't support widescreen, because "it's unfair to 4:3 users" (i think)
Sometimes they make great games, but in general they just shit generic games out for cash.
See mercenaries 2.
