I was reading Portals wiki (After completeing it) and read that the cake present at the end was called 'Black Forest' cake.
Is this in any reference to 'White Forest' in EP2? Or just damn conisidence...?

The scriptwriter(s) probably subconsciously thought of the cake/ate it when he/they were trying to make up a name for the forest.
