ok i'm at the bit in the goron village where you need to find the village cheif but i can't and the walkthroughs just say "smash open snow boulders on the path to goron village to find him"
The area after the sword sharpening hut, theres an icey floor with several island like structures which contain White Wolfos. On the ice floor area there are several snow boulders containing rupee's, tektites and the mentioned Goron Elder, smash open the boulders to find the elder and learn the song.

i know this but i smashed all the boulders but no elder
You have the lens of truth? Did you go into the goron town?
