Shattered Horizon, and why you should give this over-glorified tech demo a try - Games

I'll start off by saying it's not very dynamic. You won't be getting upgrades nor perks, and the ranking system is just for show. It's a multiplayer game, and at the moment it'll run you fifteen dollars on steam. The basic story of the game is that there's been a catastrophic explosion caused by a mining industry on the moon. The main results are that everything's fucked up and gone to hell, and everyone's currently dead or dying. The International Space Agency is trying to figure out what just happened, why it happened, and who the fuck just blew up our moon? The corporate giant known as the "Moon Mining Corporation" knows that shit has really hit the fan because they just redecorated the solar system's orbit. So they start fighting. Simple, right? Right. As well as having a pretty cool story-line, the developers are still supporting this game today. I'm sure many of you have heard about the recent weapons pack, which follows the previous DLC of four extra maps; all free of charge, of course. Did I mention you're in fuckin' space? Although being simple in its nature, it's nonetheless fun, and that's more than you can say about a lot of the shit being released today.

I'm glad they added new weapons and grenades. It was getting really boring with that one gun.

I'd love to play this game, sadly my PC is outdated and the only graphic "intensive" game I can run is Oblivion.

It needs a 'counterstrike-esqe' mode where you have to capture an objective but you only get ONE life per round. It would make it a lot more tactical, tense, and team based.

Team based? :monocle: A team-based game normally has classes with people compensating for each other's weaknesses while working for a common goal. Counterstrike is just a glorified team-deathmatch.

The new weapons look quite good. I wasn't mad into this game - I bought it and I think my playtime was only at something like three hours before I uninstalled it. Needs another free weekend for the new weapons.

My specs are sadly lacking for this game, but I could run it until this update. Where I could get 20FPS before, I now get 5. :saddowns:
