Well i downloaded Frets On Fire yesterday and used my Guitar Hero controller with it, after a few go's i searched on the web for some more songs and i found Still Alive, I thought awesome this should be easy (as i am utter shite on Guitar Hero and this song isn't as heavy metal than Through The Fire And Flames) so i downloaded and fired the game up as soon as it started i was like OH SHI- and started mashing random buttons, I have not tried it again since.

I learned how to play the intro and actual guitar part on my brother's guitar. It's pretty simple, but a fun song to play when you have gamer friends over.

As for "sync with the vocals not the music," the program I fretted it with allows me to slow down and carefully listen to what he's playing for the actual recording. I just fretted it the way it sounded to me. *shrug*

A full install of an older version of frets on fire with all GHI and GHII songs + a bunch of awesome mods. It's what I'm using and should fix your error.

No, frets on fire, but with a GH-esque visual mod. I have the .chart files if some one wants to use the songs as a GH custom song though.
