How to move your steam folder to a different harddrive?

I have multiple harddrives on my computer, and the one with steam on it is running out of space. How can I move it to another folder without having to reinstall all the games?
Copy, uninstall steam, install to new location. Or copy, then edit registry values and shortcuts with the new path.
I haven't reinstalled tf2 since 2007. And I migrated it around 10 times like this, actually, not just tf2 but my whole steamapps folder.
Just move the folder. You'll just have to edit your shortcuts. I just have my steam on my external HD, and every time I reinstall my OS, it'll just get all the needed files and I'll log in.

Yeah, that. But my shortcuts changed for me. And I just had to reinstall steam. very simple.
Thanks guys, I was wondering if I would have to re-download all my games + custom content but now I know I don't.
Move your steamapps folder, uninstall Steam.
Install steam on another harddrive, move steamapps folder there.
That's the best way to do it.
i think ile have to try this, finally make use of my external hd.
I installed a Velociraptor, and all I did to move Steam was drag the Steam folder in Program Files to the new drive. It won't start on startup, but it functions perfectly.
