If you want this game, you'll have to order it online. That's what I did. Since I doubt most of you know of this great computer game, I'll tell you about it. War Leaders is not only a Grand Strategy Game, but also a RTS. When you attack or are attacked at a territory, the option comes out for the AI to do it, or you can personally take command of the units at the field. You are able to manage the units, down to a single soldier. Be forewarned though, at times this can be micromanagement hell. At the global screen you have to deal with two main resources, money and oil. Oil is used mainly for vehicles being transported, and money is used for just about everything else. Including building bases. The game is very flexible, it can be as accurate or inaccurate as you want it to be. Hell, you can even go the lowest realistic possible and go to war with Britain as America and invade Canada. You can do all sorts of things, like research technology, tax territories, build troops, and more. It's up to you how to play, now why not get it? I believe there is also a demo. Enjoy! And for those of you who do or have played it, feel free to post your stories! Here's mine. Okay, since you lose if your War Leader was killed, I made a fortress on this one island as Japan, where I put Hideki Tojo(Yes, not the emperor), and a bunch of forces. And I was using cheats,(I know, I know) so I had the atomic bomb, and America Didn't. I'm not able to remember if I retook Japan or not, but in either case I invaded Alaska and eventually was able to take control. After which, I kept trying to drop a nuke on the enemy War Leader, but was unable because he kept moving. So, in the end my War Leader got assassinated, and that was the end of Japan in the war.
Pictures? Also sounds like HoI with accuracy slider.
Hearts of Iron doesn't have it so that you can control individual soldiers... And you get to go to the actual battlefield. [editline]10:49AM[/editline] I personally love it. I remember one time I was playing as the Japanese and I invaded Alaska... I also had nukes.
It's it as complex as HoI?
This, I will check out. Sounds fun.
It's it as complex as HoI?
Well yes, and no. You'd just have to check it out for yourself. I'm sure you'll like it though.
I like these kind of games. I play some 4X games to but the games from Paradox Interactive like HoI are so heavy to understand. Hope this game won't have such a steep learning curve.

But in any case, I'm sure you'll still like it.
Woah, never heard of this and seems like my type of game. I'll be looking into it this weekend. Can we get some more screens of both the grand strategy side and the actual battles?
I'll do the best I can, but my mom is going to make me do tons of work.
Your moms awesome
...Seriously?
Can you play crap countries like Brazil, or Chile and unleash a South American war like in HOI?
No, you can't sadly...
Saw a review. Looks really nice, is there a demo?
So is this game out or what? I see no purchase button on their site, no forum or anything.
It's been out for quite a while, although on amazon people give very bad reviews. It's bugged to hell or something.
Yeah it was bugged. But when patched to latest, it's very stable for me. I also just managed to invade Tokyo and take it over as Russia. Oh, I also have nuclear bombs at the start of the war and everyone declared war on me. Why am I not surprised?
You invaded Alaska? Be right back, searching for mods.
I remember this, was released last year. Got it a few months ago. Game is pretty fun, although a bit buggy, crashes and glitches and all that. Patches helped a lot though. It's basically Hearts of Iron style diplomacy and campaign with Total War in World War II battle gameplay.
Sounds like fun, got a demo link?
Cool, it sounds a bit like Men of war but being able to have the global theatre of war to conquer risk style.
I know it's awesome! I love using the atomic bomb, seeing that plane fly over in grand campaign, the bomb dropping and that huge mushroom cloud appearing over the territory. :)
Your moms awesome
Dumb post
Well, for those of you who haven't played it, I've found a demo. Only problem is it is in French, it was released in Europe after all oringinally...

I study spanish too so it would help me understand a bit more.. :v:
Wow, this game is fun. It is simple, easy to get into, but complex as you go along. I am playing the USA, WW2 hasn't started yet and I'm trying to unite the Western Hemisphere.
Modding capabilities? I'll buy it if I can script in so Alberta, BC, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon, and the NWT all split off and become a world power through tech dominance :D
Sounds interesting. I always liked a grand strategy game where you can just do whatever. Looks like it's about time to create the Continental American Empire. Also I noticed the US flag on that soldier's arm in your first image is backwards.
Can we see some more screenshots of the battles and grand campaign please? I'm interested...
