http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/gb/en/pc/games/action/greed/ £20 off. I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet.
Kinda ironic that a game called greed is FREE right now. :v:
Trailer makes it look pretty baller, but can anyone who actually played the game confirm how fun it is?
Looks a bit like Alienswarm..
Trailer makes it look pretty baller, but can anyone who actually played the game confirm how fun it is?
terrible. In case you couldn't tell from the "cinematic trailer", you can't move and shoot at the same time. Which, if you're going to assume they're going for the "realistic" point of view where normally if you're moving while shooting your aim will be terrible, it's at least possible to run/shoot realistically. The movement is point&click, and so is shooting. So you're controlling your movement, and shooting direction with the mouse, and using leftclick to both move and shoot. You use WASD to "dodge", which is on a cooldown, and isn't too helpful in general. it allows you to rotate the camera while holding down a key, which turns the camera based on where your mouse currently is. However, as soon as you let go of the key the camera reverts back to it's standard position. So not only is it completely useless in a fight (because you're already using your mouse to shoot and move), it doesn't even retain the angle that you set the camera at so you're stuck always looking at everything from the same rotation. There is also no first person view, even though the trailer showed one. It probably has a few good points, but the fundamental gameplay is too broken imo to be actually playable. Since the game is free right now you may as well check it out, but I wouldn't buy it.
Is this another case of Island Tax or did they get rid of it being free? [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15606445/islandtax.png[/t]

The free offer was only available until Thursday (today) until 11 UTC, at least as far as I can recall. It's over now.
