Yeah, same.
Although I thought the same thing after I played it.
I knew there was a catch.
The shipping cost is worth it (unless you are really cheap), even if just to see the water and terrain deformation. The game itself sucks, but flooding the whole map with water and seeing your opponent raising the terrain to create a water-proof wall is extremely good fun.
Basically a much much much much much much shittier Perimeter.
If only I could have it shipped outside the US.
I love this game.
