Does anyone here under 18 have parents who set limits on video games? My parents just started recently :-( although my dad seems to be saying that it won't be for long. :-) It's not just any video games though, just violent ones. They never had a problem with it before, and it sucks that they do now. And even though it doesn't need to be violent, this includes (you guessed it) Garry's Mod. And the worst part: it's only 2 hours a day.
Anyone else have this problem?

My parents do not care either. When I was younger I used to play all kinds of games with my older cousins. One of them even pirate GTA 1 for me and I was like 6-8 years old. Oh the memories of running over people and then watch how my car painted the ground red.
And it's not like I want to do that in real life now do I, it's a fucking game and if you can't unterstand that you shouldn't be playing games. (Not saying that you don't)

Its a game, its not like your killing any1 in real life. If you go by that logic, you shouldnt watch the news, as it will make you want to do terrorist attacks and start fires in factories and kill all your family and buy abdominators or similar crap...

Basically whenever I was younger, my parents only cared about the sex in games. Violence they didn't give a shit and swearing they only really cared if it was saying "Fuck" all the time.

I can say the only game my parents didn't let me play for a while was Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas. They heard about the sex mods for the PC and thought it was on the console version too.
