"Operating directly under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors are called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators.
Over 2 million Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines wear the uniform. Of those, approximately 50 thousand fall under the direct control of the Special Operations Command. The Tier 1 Operator functions on a plane of existence above and beyond even the most highly trained Special Operations Forces.
They are experts in the application of violence. And they exist on an international level for various nations around the globe. In the U.S., their exact numbers, while classified, hover in the low hundreds. They are living, breathing, precision instruments of war. They are experts in the application of violence.

There is a new enemy. There is a new war. There is a new warrior. He is Tier 1."
Medal of Honor: Warfighter (also known as Medal of Honor 2 or Medal of Honor 2: Warfighter) is an upcoming first-person shooter video game being developed by Danger Close Games and set to be published by Electronic Arts. It is a direct sequel to 2010's series reboot Medal of Honor (2010) and the 14th Medal of Honor installment in the series. The title was officially announced on February 23, 2012, and it is set to be released in North America on October 23, 2012, and in the United Kingdom on October 26, 2012.
The new Medal of Honor Warfighter game is inspired by and has been developed with Tier 1 Operators from this elite, international community. This personal story was written by actual Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas. In it, players will step into the boots of these elite warfighters and apply their unique skill sets to track down a real global threat, in real international locations, sponsored by real enemies. It doesn't get any more authentic then Medal of Honor Warfighter, coming October 23, 2012.

Preorder Promotion
Pre-orders of Warfighter will receive automatic upgrade to the Limited Edition of the game at no extra cost. The Limited Edition unlocks the U.S. Navy SEAL Tier 1 Sniper and the McMillan Tac-300 sniper rifle upon the game's launch, an unlock that would otherwise require about 40 hours of gameplay. Also EA has announced that all those who pre-order Medal of Honor: Warfighter will receive access to Battlefield 4 beta. The Battlefield 4 beta will not take place until Autumn 2013.

And here I thought I was the only person on this board looking forward to the game, nice work thread my man.
Does it have bloom? I will only buy a game if it has a LOT of bloom.
[editline]2nd August 2012[/editline]
But seriously, it just looks like another COD.
Every FPS published by EA is always similar to COD.
As before the sales for this are gonna come due to Battlefield 4 beta access.
I am excited.

So CoD invented modern war..? MoH 2010 and this strive to be accurate regarding the tools and tactics used in these scenarios, and unfortunately a lot of the elements they introduce are already well known due to their implementation in the popular CoD series.

I disagree. MoH 2k10 really wasn't like CoD at all. I liked it :) Also liked the MP, even though it was a huge campfest sometimes :(

No MoH 2010 was pretty good in it's accuracy, at least as far as mainstream titles go.
But part of the reason they did a good job is because of restraint. COD posseses no restraint and thats why despite all the pretty explosions and over the top bullshit every 5 seconds - you dont care about any of it, because there's so much of it that when shit does happen, it's impact is lessened considerably. It suffers from michael bay syndrome.
I can only hope this MOH employs similar restraint and I hope in the future devs will climb out of this ass-trocious pit COD has dug the industry into and realize that dramatic situations can be achieved better with subtlety rather than servicing 12 year olds ADD with pretty lights and big explosions every 2 seconds.
