Ultima Online - Do you remember this 10 year old MMO? - Games

Ultima Online is one of the original MMOs. It came out around 1997, and people today still play it all the time. It was the first mmo (that i know of) to have full PvP, and looting. But, you know. There's a shit-load of free shards (shards being a server) that are plenty active, that aren't ruined by whatever reasons everyone claims it was ruined for. Fuck yes. I love Ultima Online. In any case, people think differently about each expansion; Personally, I think it went downhill for the samurai expansion, and then died entirely with the elf expansion. Other people just loved the vanilla game and hated it when they introduced the PvP free facets. Regardless, I'd love to play.

The game is epic. But i won't reroll because unsmooth camera movement makes me dizzy now for some reasons. Best MMO ever made. And no, in UO "griefers" do not exist. If you get ganged and killed, that's part of the game.

If you guys have like, 60 bucks to blow. and want a uo type experince, you could try the half-way dying game mortal online. it's the same, but really buggy last time i checked.

Hey guys. I played this game like 8 or so years ago and loved it. Never cared for any other MMO's since then. I downloaded it and played a free server for old time sake like a month ago, and it's great. I strongly suggest the Hybrid free server. Hybrid is probably one of the biggest but we still need more people playing to make it feel like the good old days. That link above will tell you what to download and what to do. After playing UO, it has been tough to play other MMOs. "Theme Park" MMOs are totally unsatisfying, like Everquest, WoW, etc. (though I did like Dark Age of Camelot and City of Heroes for some reason). Anyway, I need to play sandboxes. I currently play EVE Online but I switch between that and Wurm Online often. Darkfall and MO I haven't played much but they aren't the same. On an unrelated note, anyone here remember how much Shadowbane sucked dick? lol

I have to say, I've been playing Ultima Online on the UOGamers Hybrid Server and it rocks my cock.
