Because there can't be only bad people. Edit: When everything looks dark with rattle And the enemy is about to win Crushing in team battle Guardian Angels begin
Any pudge that hooks you out of a tight spot
Nobody.
Nobody.
I'm sure there's at least one guy.
Alright, Last push of the game Im playing Dark Seer. Our clinkz has this crazy idea to bait the enemy towards us the rest stand in anticipation. They actually follow him to our surprise, after he passes a certain point i drop my wall, put a ion shell on friendly axe, he blinks in, I vacuum, COME GET SOME AXE TAUNT. None survived and we pushed to victory. Such amazing communication with some fellas I just met on a solo que, you bet your titties I added them.
Was playing a long 80 minute game, we'd pushed them to their racks and they'd pushed us past ours, a teamfight ensured and the result was 5 dead for us, 4 for them with a very wounded zeus heading back to base, it seemed bleak until our nature's prophet bought back, teleported to the zeus and killed him and proceeded to push all of bottom for the win. [editline]6th June 2012[/editline] He ended the game with something like 600 last hits
A carry that knows his last hitting and doesnt fail on you. I had a game were we fighting 4v5 all the time because our void was farming since start, I was a bit scared but I managed to go semi-carry on my nightstalker but I was getting outgunned, by minute 50 I tell our void to finally come help us. He had literally full set, he went in and erased from existance everyone on the enemy team without problem. At the end his GPM was insane, he hadnt wasted a single creep and he never got ganked cuz he had awesome map awareness thanks to our wards and shit. I really dont mind protecting carries who know their shit, I actually love them since I love playing gankers/supports.
I was facing a pudge that was probably the best one I've seen yet. He knew every single nook and cranny of the map that pudge can hook from, he had some of the best support items later on in the game and landed every hook I've seen. Luckily, I wasn't hooked since I wasn't targeted but he would curve the hook and stuff, it was amazing.

Usually it always happens when all racks are down, my team is desperately trying to defend while I'm pushing hard. Once, it came down to 100 HP on the enemy's ancient. That's how far away I was from surprise backdoor win. fucking glyph :(
My one friend, who led our entire team to some unreachable victory. I wish I could share the replay with you guys, it's very awesome.
Actually I met a dude in a pub once and we're friend on Steam now. We play together very often and had a 17 win streak at one point.
Some Viper who went 20-2 when our team was full of feeders (including me) and we won the game.
A Tidehunter that actually comunicated with me when we were top. I was Venomancer, with the Tidehunter, against 2 of the heroes I hate the most because of the bots, a Razor and a Bane. They were pretty dumb, but still, we had pretty awesome team play there. I placed wards and slowed those 2 down while the wards did crowd control and attack, and he also slowed them down and took wacks at them. He was pretty good at timing things right, especially when he told me when he'd be ready to use his stuff. We ended up doing so well that after those 2 died 5 times without a kill, they left. I even gave the Tidehunter a 3 pack of Tangos when he needed, he deserved Healing Salve though, he played perfectly well as a 2 man team with me. I really enjoyed having him as a partner there. I don't usually get nice people like that. Everyone on the other team left when those 2 guys ragequited.
I was mad at a Necrolyte for fucking up at some point, he was being friendly, though. A while after insulting him, I sort of regretted insulting him and we started talking he was still being really friendly as if nothing had happened, what a nice guy
I remember one guy from one of my last games. He was Russian and was quite friendly. He gave me advice and warnings on the mic while I was farming top lane with him. It was pretty enjoyable to have someone actually helping you and not raging at you for every little mistake you make. Moreover, he was talking in english to me, which is already awesome for a Russian dude.
russians

Since the two left before the game started, the bots didn't idle in base to even things out. There were quite a few times where we were actually counting on the bots to be glitching at Roshan, but these two turned out to work as an amazing team. Pudge had some pretty awesome hooks, Jugg had some great Omnislashes. We all died a bunch, and it was especially hard early game, but we started just rolling them through. I bought back at least twice. Commended the both of them.
It's a bot game ...
And? I don't feel I'm good enough to be playing people yet. :/
And? I don't feel I'm good enough to be playing people yet. :/
you're never gonna be good enough if you keep playing against bots
you're never gonna be good enough if you keep playing against bots
Plus it's not really harder to play against people. They don't have that robotic reaction time.
A Spectre that plays properly, such a rare thing. But when it happens, oh dear ...
And? I don't feel I'm good enough to be playing people yet. :/
complete one game against bots to get the feel of a new hero then dive into real matches, it will improve your play 10x. plus bots are kind of better than people in some respects (lasthitting/denying, not picking retardedly bad heroes)
And? I don't feel I'm good enough to be playing people yet. :/
Play a support, most of them have silences and stuns that can really help out if you're laning with a high-DPS carry, which you should be. They'll protect you if you protect them with your abilities. An easy character to play as for new players is Lich, his sacrifice skill lets you deny creeps easily and allows you to fight closer to your tower, adding increased safety for you and your lanemate along with ice armour, and his ulti is silly powerful. Personally I reccomend Jakiro, for his multi-hit freeze stun and his neat Q ability, along with an awesome area-denial ultimate. He requires some skill to use though. Also, if you're laning with a hero that is trying to be a carry for your team, let them get last hits, they need cash more urgently than you do. XP is shared on a lane, so you'll still get xp for hanging around. Remember to harass the enemy to keep them at bay.

I'm not terribly new to Dota, I've got about 160 hours in it. Most of those are just bot games because playing player games I feel pressured to do well, even on characters I do well with, so I tend to avoid them for more laid back bot games. Plus playing bots lets me random from time to time and open up how many heroes I know. And at this point there actually aren't a terrible amount I haven't played.
I like to play Treant or Crystal Maiden (any other heroes with global auras?) because I can help my team literally by just existing.
Played with a really awesome group of guys in a bot game that were teaching me faceless void and how to creep pull. They were really fucking cool about it, and they were just dominating the bots. Then I played another bot game as brew, and I got matched with seriously the only good alchemist player in existance. He was just godly. There are no other words.
^ Creep pulling/stacking is pretty simple once you know that the creeps will chase you for like 7 seconds as long as you "agro" them. And that new creeps will spawn every minute of the game. First creeps at around 0:30 so if ur a jungler prepare to stack the easy camp as you are just killing them at 0:40'ish.
And? I don't feel I'm good enough to be playing people yet. :/
Trust me, playing with people is easier. The worst you can get is no team play at all, but you can also expect that when playing with bots. Its amazing how easy it is to kill someone with a few stuns.

They were teaching me about pulling the creeps at the bottom lane to fight lane creeps, it was cool. They were like, some of the nicest guys I'd ever played with, they were giving me all sorts of advice in chat and protecting me during the game and such.
