And what are some things that you didn't like? Please list examples and give reasoning for your decisions.
Needless to say I'm building plot/mechanics for an FPSRPG. I already have a list of what I'd like, but I want to know what you, the players, want.
What I'd like:
Extensive customization
Total plot immersion
-multiple endings
-every decision counts
Morality
-Good vs Evil
-Character progression
-What path you choose will change the outcome of the game
Cut-scenes
-Player involvement
-Plot Decisions based on your involvement
-morality decisions
Environment
-Lush, vivid
-Matches the setting
-Completely destroyable
General Feel
-Feeling of paranoia. Inability to trust anyone. Survival is not only vital, it's required.
Here is what some friends I've asked on Steam want:
Open Worlds
Nonlinear
Tell the player what to do. Don't beat around the bush.
No grind
Character Development
Rich Story
No random events(For instance in some RPG's there are critical hits that occur randomly based on an algorithm)
Weapons have a good feel/sound to them
Thanks for your time!

In RPGs I like it when weapons/armor isn't just recolors of other weapons/armors.
I look to see if it's Gamebryo engine
Gamebryo is suited to make RPGs because just like real like stuff gets all buggy and doesn't work properly so I get really immersed.

Gamebryo is a great engine. If you play too long it shuts itself off to make sure you do something healthy. Regardless of whether or not you've saved.
For me, It's always a plus that you can kill anyone you want.
I like random events in games, but ones that actually matter like a randomized mission or a scripted somethingorother that gives you a rare ability/weapon.
