First off, no this is not a "I HATE BLIZZ!" thread, and actually up untill now I have loved them. Anyways, I played last night, got sick, and logged in today. Turns out I have been perma-banned for "hacking." Now, you are probably like "You were hacking and deserved it!" Well yes, I did deserve punishment, and got it, but that was a year ago when foolishly using Cheat Engine to run around like a douche, and I got what came to me. Thing is, I haven't committed any other offenses since then. I just don't get why Blizzard would up and ban someone who has payed a subscription fee for around 3 years, for something that happened a year ago.
well the perma was supposed to happen eventually but they let you enjoy another year, so send them an email thanki them<3 ^_^
That way they get a years extra payment off you.
Not thanking them for making me spend an extra 180 bucks, but I did bring it up with them. And it does piss me off a pretty nice amount, and I am definitely not buying Vanilla, BC, and WotLK all over again and then leveling.
Fair enough, but they had the right to ban you whenever they wanted really.

True, but they didn't. They said I could have another chance, and I showed them I could be an upstanding player, and never disrupted anyone, don't think that deserves my chance being taken away.

They do the same thing with VAC for steam, if you hack they will delay the ban, wait till you buy more games then BAM.
I don't get it though, I do one bad deed that doesn't affect other players or their experience, and after spending nearly 650 USD and 2 Months played time for development of their game they ban me. What the fuck Blizz?

A VAC ban is Game by Game. If you cheat in the game you can't play that game on VAC secure servers anymore.
The only thing that constitutes as Cheating in a valve game mostly, is active Memory hacking, Where you real-time edit your ram.

They must have deemed you a threat to the gaming community.
Also, you can appeal to that and get it reduced to just the game you cheated on.
I don't see how they exactly conned you out of the money when you paid to play the game and you did. if you're only getting banned now I'd suspect your account was hacked, used to make level 1s to speedhack to cities, spam goldselling messages.
No Jimbo, I've heard several times that people get banned with a long delay (sometimes extreme like these).
Vac works: If you get banned from VAC1, your banned from all VAC1. If you get banned from VAC2, it's per game. If you get banned from VAC2, you can not be banned in VAC1.
As far as your Blizz issue goes, call customer support.
Why haven't you looked in your inbox to see WHY they banned you? They generally send you 1 or 2 emails stating why you were banned with the issue labeled.
You got what was coming to you. Blizzard was prefectly within their rights to ban you.
All you can do is send some pleading e-mails- but I doubt it'll work.
And what did you mean by 'they let you off'? Did they contact you at the time and tell you not to do it again, or did they just not do anything at all?
If it's the first, I'd say you might have gotten keylogged and the hacker hacked, but if it's the second, then they had the right to ban you whenever they wanted.

I had a 10 day trial, speed hacked a fuck load and had a 72 hour hold on my "account"once, they also added that its a short ban because someone could've been hacking said "account".
