Fallout: Tactics is pretty good until you see them.
Everyone recommending classic games, is that all thats available? I said Steam/D2D too.
Sadly you missed D2D's giant deal a few weeks ago. I think some of the games are still left with their cheap price.

You can get Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Plants VS Zombies.
Not really a shooter or rpg, but you could see it a bit as a rts.
There's a demo on Steam, too.
Madballs in... Babo:Invasion has a demo too, try it out.
(top down shooter, with co-op and arena etc)
