Searched for a topic on this. Didn't seem to be one ;( I was surprised. These are some major games in MMO history, not sure how many of you have tried it.
I played a barbarian berserker to 55 and I have an assassin thats retired at 80.
Actually I use to play Everquest 1 back in the day. In 2000 I started playing the game. I actually got addicted to the game and would play literally all day. I played for 2 years and the game started basically consuming my life, and one day I just decided to quit. I haven't really been into mmorpgs ever since, but I have played diablo 2 and still play from time to time.
I played EQC for 6 years.
I'm not even going to list my characters but I had 8 70s including a Paladin, Warrior, and Cleric with their 2.0.
Had a ranger on Zek that had an artifact bow.
Yeah.. some people got massively addicted to it. I never got addicted to EQ 1 for some reason, but I did play it. Only to test it out though, but I got in EQ 2 and that was fun for awhile.
I think EQ1 can go down as one of the most addicting MMO's ever. Like some people had some serious problems with that game, even as far as committing suicide. It didn't get the name Evercrack for no reason at all.
EQ doesn't look that good :S, is it worth buying to try out?
It's a fantastic game connor, but it's past its prime. If you can pick up a copy for 5 bux and enjoy mmos check it out, but sadly things like this have an expiration date and EQ is nearing it.
EQ 2 is fun but there are better MMOs.
Yep but its a bit outdated now.. but still a great game. It has a more epic feeling than WoW if you ask me, it's different. But it's dieing out..
And I don't see a Everquest 3 coming out anytime soon.. or ever..
Well, i got in to EQ back in the day, bought most of the packs then i quit for a while never got real far. Then i was thinking about going back but they added more expansions and didn't feel like paying all that money.
Yeah.. all the xpacs are kind of gay.
EQ2 has an awesome crafting system though.

That could be it.. For some 2 wasn't as 'hardcore'. But it probably could have been, if they wanted. The game had enough content to keep you busy for awhile.
yeah 2 was a lot more easy. But i loved the crafting system in the game.
