Infiniminer is a class based game where two teams compete to collect the most loot by mining in a randomly generated cave system. You may also use blocks to construct forts complete with traps, teleporters, and lava.

There are two gamemodes currently, Competition and Sandbox.
-Competition-
In competition the two teams must bring loot to the surface to reach a certain amount of cash. Bringing gold to the surface earns $100 for the team; diamonds give $1000. Players can only build in competition, they have a wide variety of available bricks. For example, there are shock bricks that damage players when they touch their underside, jump bricks, which provide a boost for players, and ladder bricks, with players can climb to reach higher levels. It costs ore to build these bricks, ore can be obtained by mining rock.
-Sandbox-
In sandbox there is no specific goal for players, it's just a sandbox building game. In addition to no goal between teams, there is no ore needed to build, so you don't need to worry about running out of ore in the middle of a build.
In infiniminer there are 4 classes to play as:
-Miner-
The miner can dig the fastest and hold the most loot out of all the classes. Unfortunately, he is the mot limited in blocks he can build and can only carry the standard amount of ore.
-Engineer-
The engineer has the most available blocks to build from and can have the highest amount of ore. The engineer can build bank blocks, which players can store ore at an retrieve ore from.
-Prospector-
The prospector has a tool similar to a metal detector that allows him to see where gold or diamonds lie underneath. He can also place beacons, which shows on other players radars. He works best with other classes to find gold.
-Sapper-
The sapper is the only offensive class in infiniminer. He can only carry a total of 200 ore, and for half his stockpile he can create a TNT brick which can be detonated remotely with one of his tools. The sapper is useful for clearing out areas, but the explosives can destroy gold and diamonds before they can be brought to the surface.
This is a pretty fun game, recently found out about it on another forum I browse. While it's very fun, hardly anyone hosts servers for it :(

Minecraft is better.
I tried playing Infiniminer and then Minecraft to see which was better and Minecraft pretty much kicked Infiniminer's ass.
edit Rated you clocks because that's what the cool kids are doing.
Just tried Minecraft out, I'd have to agree with you :/
Didn't we go through this Infiniminer/Brominer fad like months ago before it was replaced by Minecraft?
I think they're really different and can't be compared a lot due to their own personal pros and cons, personally, but still.
I was hooked on this game for about a week.
That was half a year ago.
I sometimes play this with friends because this one actually has objectives unlike in Minecraft.
This one's free.
This one's free.
Rate him boxes.
[sp]Don't fucking tell him that it's free also.[/sp]
I thought minecraft costed money :raise:
No. Minecraft is free. "Buying" it is more like a donation than anything else at this point.
Godamnit
late thread needs more search button.
I remember Facepunch playing this about June/may, I like it better than Mine craft because it has lava, and as everyone knows lava is awesome.
Wow, this is old, like, really old. Also, Infiniminer is OPEN FUCKING SOURCE.
