Has anybody gave a though about 3D viewing in video games? Supposedly if we can convert a current games like Half Life 2 or Team Fortress 2 or even Crysis and Crysis 2 into 3D viewing mode. Would this enrich the game play experience or make things frustrating?
I'm not talking about Post-production 3D viewing but an in-game rendered 3D viewing mode.
And can someone convert a still image of a current video game screen shot into 3D viewing mode.
The 1st generation 3D viewing requires you to use 3D glasses. The newer gen of 3D viewing no longer requires you to use 3D glasses. I've seen the newer 3D LED Television by Samsung and I find it quite impressive though it does give me some headache.
I've played TF2 in 3D, you can do it using Nvidia's drivers. It's not that great, you aren't really missing out.

Also 3D is a stupid fad.
Let's just hope the developers will not think of making games stereoscopic. Eyes would hurt.

You need 2 images, taken from slightly different positions to make a 3d image.
It'll look good when you're playing very actiony games with shit flying at you.
3 Curved monitors+3D=Best gaming experience.
Provided the 3D is well-executed.
With games, the expected eye distance should be customisable, so you'd be able to avert that kind of headache.
Also, you've been able to run pretty much any game in 3D for quite a while by now. Edimensional and Iz3d for example.
Aren't most games already in 3D?
Well they're rendered in 3D but it's still just a 2D projection of that.

Cross your eyes in a way that the images overlap.
I played Avatar on a 3D TV.
It sucked ass.
I played L4D using those fancy pants, super expensive 3D glasses, and it worked incredibly well, but it wasn't anything game changing.
I played L4D using those red/cyan glasses and it was pretty good, same with minecraft, but its better without. 3D tvs are worthless.

I played it at a video game convention in London.
Avatar the game was terrible.
Quite, but it is even worse in 3D.

search for yt3d on youtube. then in the right corner next to the quality settings there are options on how to watch the 3d content.

3D in the sense of being able to turn your head around and see everything as if you were there would be pretty kickass though.
