Hey everyone :)
For the past 4 years, a friend and I have been working on a rhythm/shoot em up(shmup) game called Rhythm Destruction. We're aiming for a PC release this October.
The game plays like a typical shmup, where you control your ship as you maneuver through each stage. The twist however, is that enemies are destroyed with note presses that are synched up to the music(like DDR etc)
The game will be released this October for $5 from our website and other various distributors.

Demo:
We've recently finished up a 2-stage demo and we'd love to hear feedback on it. You can download it here: http://www.rhythmdestruction.com/demo/RhythmDestructionDemoSetup.exe
System requirements for it are somewhere in the range of 2ghz dual core, 1gb memory, GPU with 128mb memory(not sure about the last one!)
Note: Norton will flag the installer as dangerous and delete it, so you may have to disable it for the install. The game exe is fine though.
We're also running a Kickstarter campaign until October 4th(we just hit 80%)and are in the process of trying to get onto steam via Greenlight. If the game interests you, your support would be appreciated!

It looks really cool, but it would be kinda eh if you couldn't import your own music. I would understand if it was on consoles, but almost all rhythmic games that are decent let you import your music.
Also why join to advertise.

Might worry some people if it flags it on other antiviruses.
Played the demo and I have to agree with Legolover, it would be improved massively with support for custom music.
I like the concept and gameplay style though, felt a bit more involved than some other rhythm games in which I could just zone out midway through and still win. I actually have to concentrate in this.
Voted up on Greenlight anyway, good luck.
Thank you :)
Importing music isn't really an option with the way the game works. We would need to include the level editor(which is an absolute mess and totally unintuitive) for that to be possible.
We have thought about adding a note chart editor and an import music option for just the 'hyper sections' of the game, but that would be months after release.
In the meantime we'll be taking community feedback on what songs & styles they'd like to see in future stages.
And about the virus warning, afaik it will only pop up on Norton(the only way to fix it is to email them the program and get it approved).
