About
In the world of Hazordhu you immerse yourself into a strict roleplay environment which holds in it an entirely player-developed land. Note that this game is based highly around roleplaying, survival, and discovery. If you decide to go into the world with the name "Dick McBoobass" you will most likely be forced to recreate your character. Talking about in-character things in the OOC channel that should be learned from roleplay is also prohibited and you will be muted. If you want to go on a mad killing spree, feel free to do so, but it must have an RP reason (i.e. it is an enemy town) and you must use the emote function (there is a button for this) to give an example of what you are about to do (i.e. "*Bob raises his axe up high, preparing to cleave into the lowly citizens of this disgusting town.*").
New players choose from 4 human heritages, all based off player-made groups and kingdoms from earlier versions. Once in the world, players can create their own story by creating towns, tools, weapons, hunting and farming for their survival, or trading with others to get what you need. To stop grinders from unbalancing the game, skill leveling does not exist. Instead, your stats are based on what heritage you choose to be. There are over 300 craftable items at this time and more on the way.
Subscribing for a measly $6 per year will give you the ability to choose from 3 Orc clans. Your stats will also be increased as a result of subscribing no matter what race you choose to play as.
If you have any questions about gameplay mechanics, you are free to ask over the OOC channel.

Like SS13, this game is built on the BYOND engine which means it will come with its handful of bugs. You will have to download BYOND here, and after that you may play the game here. On the game's hub page there is also a section for screen-shots if you want to see what the game looks like before playing it. Some other useful links are the website, the forum, and the wiki which is drastically underused and has a lack of information.
Other stuff
This game REALLY lacks a decent playerbase. Not because the players are stupid, but because most of the time there is only 1-15 players on.
NEVER EVER EVER use the command "Suicide," you will die and lose everything you own, unlike normal dying which just sends you back to the spawn with all of the equipment you previously had.
If you guys want to start a city or something then we can talk about it here. Otherwise, have fun!
Right now I'm playing the game, my BYOND username is .
Byond and "strict roleplay enviroment" don't go together that well in my experience.

For most games, but the admins really enforce RP here. Idiots are frequently kicked, muted, and banned for being stupid and not following rules, however if you're a newbie and you seem to be smart people won't go hard on you.
-snip-
Is the community like SS13? Are the admins as strict and will ban you for literally anything?
SS13 admins aren't exactly strict, unless it involves something absolutely stupid like anime or furry shit.
Unless you consider banning someone for randomly murdering strict.
Time to be a mountain man.
Jeremiah Johnson.
I make good biskits boi
Also can you actually create buildings individually?
It's BYOND so there's bound to be lag and annoying delay when moving. Is there?
There's more lagging around then gameplay imo. What'd you expect from an engine like BYOND?
Didn't expect a thread to pop up on this forums, anyways I've played this for a long time, there's really no goons in this game like there is in SS13.
Is the community like SS13? Are the admins as strict and will ban you for literally anything?
Definitely not. None of the admins are very strict as long as you don't really piss them off.
Also can you actually create buildings individually?
Nope. It was planned to be like this but it was decided against since they wanted people to be able to make unique structures.

Also, anyone want to start up a colony in the desert? You're gonna need a boat though.
I'll join in, meet you at newlands then.
Okay. I'm a friendly cunt just so you know.
It pops up a error page when I click continue at the page to install BYOND.
Reminds me when we did that Hazion Kingdom thing and then orcs invaded the island.
Sorry, had to log out to do some work. I'll be on again in a bit.
Alright let's do this.
edit:
Never mind.
Lets set up this colony!
It's not hard to look up, but links in the OP would be nice for people who've yet to hear of this game.
Theres nobody playing right now.
I have dominion over this land.

Wow there is actually no lag, I'm impressed.

Wait... Does this mean the only thing that increases as time goes on is the amount of money I have (and thus, ability to make/buy better items?)
Communism is the way to go.
I have declared that our first community will be a communist wonderland under rule of great ghost of Lenin.

Yep, it's also the dumbest fuckin system.
I'm pretty sure a wood carver is a wood carver, regardless of his heritage, and I'm sure one that has been doing it for a very long time, would be better than a novice.
But a knife is a knife. And there's no quality (thank god).

There is links. Click the words in the "Where do I get it?" section.

A system like this was intended, but there's not enough players on regularly to keep it worthwhile. It is difficult to make a house if you are only a woodworker because then you can't make nails and can't make a well or fountain. Finding and cooperating with other players just to make a simple house would be an overcomplicated challenge.
Where do you mine things.
I need nails so I can sail away and be reclusive.

There's metal deposits in caves and on the surface. Just look around for them on the starting island.
I couldn't find metal either. Found 2 caves though. Neither of them let me explore them deeper.
If i can get metal i'd reconsider playing that on that little desert island.
Are there any mountainous/snowy areas?
Go inland, far north. Also watch out for orcs.
