I did a similar thing to Enchanting vellum.

I made some fat stacks off of new level of Cloth, like 80g per stack. got over 4000g right now! :dance:

Converted 10 volitile fire, water and air and 6 pyrite ore into 2500 profit. Market is screwed up right now.

The market price for Cloth seems to be greatly inflated right now. Most likely due to rich players leveling tailoring and first aid on alts. Good time to farm humanoids.

I had to try it, put up for 5g each. At least one of them sold yesterday, need to check today.

I'm not as greedy as other people. I put them up for 99s to undercut all the competition. Sold 5 so far.

See the thing is, when you undercut you may be being nice to the buyer, but you're ruining the market for anyone that was selling, or ever might. In other news, sometimes I undercut by massive amounts just so someone doesn't make a large profit. Like, I have one item I want to sell, so I put it up at the same price as everyone else, it will get sold. Some guy canceled all his auctions and put them up 1 copper less than mine. I proceed to get more of the item and undercut him massively on all of them. He does the same thing and changes his prices, but now he's making 1/5 the amount he used to. Yaaaaayyy.

The economy on my server is absolutely ruined by Asian gold buyers :(.

There should be some kind of seller etiquette when undercutting. Undercut within 10g, just generally be polite, so that when yours sell the other person still has a fair chance of selling theirs. On my server Hardened Elementium Bars were selling for 500g yesterday, so I listed 3 for 495g. I came back half an hour later and there are 10 listed under for 340g. Not only has that jackass ruined my chances of selling, he's also cut his own profit in the process.

Auctionator automatically undercuts, and if you're a jew you can put them all price ranges on 1 copper or silver. Needs an option to undercut to the cheapest looking price eg 19g99s I totally need to do that gingerbread cookie shit.

Auctioneer needs a huge button that says "PRESS HERE TO SELL AT MARKET PRICE AND NOT RUIN THE MARKET".

That's how a free market works. It will find a balance somewhere.

The undercutting is getting ridiculous. I sold some cookies for 45 gold. Later that night I was playing with my brother; he waltzed over to the auction house and bought the same amount for 5 gold. How?!

Yes, some people are smart enough to get an addon installed, but retarded enough to not know how to actually use it properly.

When I need to buy something in large quantities, I buy a few, and then sell them with large undercuts. The market prices go down, and then I actually start buying them in the quantities I need. Has worked multiple times before, it's pretty nice.

It's amazing how much power any one person has over the market. I've been ruining the ore market since 2007; it's a brilliant way to pass the time.
