(68.45.156.149:27015) The servers really don't lag and run smoothly if you don't believe me I can start up this server and you can see for your self. Hello! I am hosting a Counter-Strike Source server and I'm selling it pretty for a cheap price. The server runs on my computer, with no lag, the ip is 68.45.156.149:27016. Normally the ip will not connect to anything because I have this as my second server. If you would like to see how servers preform on my computer go here: 68.45.156.149:27015 The server runs off srcds and is on my dedicated computer that will always remain on*. In terms of plugins, If you want to add a plugin message me on steam (account name: hlsavior) with the link to the plugins page/download. My time zone is EST and I am usually on and off at 3:00pm - 10:30pm. Now this question will come up no matter what "What about FastDL?" I can add a FastDL to the server for a little higher fee/mo (If you get the server in the first 48 of this post you will get FastDL for free). Now let's talk prices: Each slot is 50 cents If you purchase in the first 48 hours 8 slots are free! There is an essential start-up fee of $5.00 but this will only be paid once, at start-up of the server. Payment will be due every month in the week that you purchased the server (I.E. If you buy the server on Tuesday, the 18th of September then your next payment will be due on October 22nd - 26th) You can cancel the server at any time but the server will immediately be shut down FastDL is an extra $2.00/mo *If my computer gets a virus or any other things happen that cause the server to be down, your payment for that month will be reduced by 50 cents for every hour the server is down. Hope you consider this offer! Contact me on steam: hlsavior EDIT: If you wondering if my PC can handle two servers heres a picture of my task manager when I run Battlefield 3, Pandora on Firefox, Steam, Origin, and two srcds.exe's.

The best thing is the "I play BF3 on your server" picture.
ahahahaha hahahaha hahahaha
Can I get an 8-slot server for $0/month + the 'essential start-up fee' of $5?
Can I get an 8-slot server for $0/month + the 'essential start-up fee' of $5?
basically the server will be free except you would have to pay $5 at first then it will be free forever
So it's five bucks, not free. Like EA's definition of free.
So it's five bucks, not free. Like EA's definition of free.
I never said it was free I said the first 8 slots were. EDIT: For example if you get a server with 8 slots its only $5 once, at start-up, then free forever. If you get the server after the discount its $9.00 on start-up and $4.00 every month
This isn't a place for advertising a server host, you'll most likely end up getting banned so you should probably snip your entire post and save yourself the embarrassment.
This isn't a place for advertising a server host, you'll most likely end up getting banned so you should probably snip your entire post and save yourself the embarrassment.
Well I didn't see anything in the guidelines for the valve section forums about advertising and my inside friend said that you are allowed to.
Even if joining to advertise wasn't bannable (which it is btw) you'd still get banned for stupidity
I did have a server from this guy for a while, his server was surprisingly good and he wasn't bad to deal with.
Wait, this guy is trying to host servers from his computer, on a residential internet line? I mean really! It's not even a server!
your server shouldn't be getting a virus because guess what, you dont do your porn adventures, on your server! [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] also, its perform, not preform
Not even dedicated pc for the servers? You gotta be kidding.
Do I even have to explain why this does not sound like a good idea. I am however not going to knock the kid. I remember during the .com boom when I was younger, before I became successful in my line of work, I started up a "web hosting service" out of my bed room and hosted websites out of my home computer while I fapped. It was fun when I was a child but did not last not even more then a month. I can respect the fact that he's trying to make some little money to live off of. But back to the topic at hand. You REALLY need to have this on a dedicated box. It living in a non-production environment is extremely bad. Even if it was on a powerful dedicated box, uptime can still be an issue. For example, your ISP has the right to preform maintenance on their network at anytime, thus creating downtime for your "customer".
your server shouldn't be getting a virus because guess what, you dont do your porn adventures, on your server!
That means if my computer gets a virus not the server.
Not even dedicated pc for the servers? your "server" shouldn't even have origin, or steam (except to download the content)
your "server" shouldn't even have origin, or steam (except to download the content)
It is on my dedicated computer which, believe it or not, has steam and origin on it! I wanted to get the point across that the computer can handle two servers running while memory-intensive programs are running also.
this is dumb and nobody will fall for it
this is dumb and nobody will fall for it
Its not a trick and people get there money back....Actually you know what i'm changing that. You get a 3 day trail where you don't have to pay anything unless you like it.

Hardware specs please. Oh and a speednet test as well while your at it.

So you host your servers on a 20/5 package? Although the CPU choice is abit questionable, I would've gone with a hex core or higher. I can say max your homebrew PC will be cable of supporting is up to 30-40 players, but thats depending if your CPU can handle extremely heavy load. Plus the BF3 screenie proves nothing since the load drops greatly once you tab out of the game. Honestly a screenshot showing it handling 2 servers under heavy load would be even better than claiming "I CAN PLAY BF3 WHILE HOSTING YOUR SERVERS!", which is no shit because they're empty requiring very little resources while they sit in idle. Honestly if you want to host game servers, rent out a dedicated server in a datacenter, they normally come with a 50/50 package, which is perfect for hosting a handful of busy servers.
but guys he paid for ibuypower to build him a sweeet hosting rig !! [editline]18th September 2012[/editline] You still suck at spelling by the way.
that op was hard to read
Wait, this is guy wants to host dedicated servers on a less than 5 mbps upload connection?
