Has anyone here ever bought gold? If so did you get banned and from which company? I was thinking about buying 5,000g so that I have enough for my flying skill and then not buy anymore. What do you guys think?
buying gold is for baddies. Making 5K requires 2 hours of work at the most.

It is quite a help though.
If you really need the gold (wich I assume you dont) just buy it. It's not really expensive (like £7 per 1k. But remember that you can get perma'd for it.
If you're buying gold, make sure you have your computer secure, Buy it with an alternate (trash) Account with no expansions and forward it in 10% to all of your characters so that it doesn't seem suspicious.
After buying the gold or visiting the website, you [B]MUST[/B] run a scan at least twice so that you're not fucked.
Remember, Gold sellers also hack accounts to sell with their keylogging programs you can download through their websites.
I haven't bought any gold, but this is just some advisory tips for you.

That's ridiculously expensive for such a small amount of gold.
Never bought gold. The thought is tempting, but I put it down to a case of "One day I'll know how to play the markets and make lots of gold myself."
Don't buy gold. It's a quick and easy way to get virus'd, hacked and/or perma'd. At high levels the game just throws gold at you in handfuls. Simply doing quests from 78-83 netted me around 3k in gold.
Much like you have to do with the game; show a little patience.
I have bought gold through this company although for a different game, and have never been hacked, virus'd, or perma'd (I know because I keep careful track of my computer to make sure there are no infections.) from the other game however I think that WoW is more observational about this type of stuff, and more likely to ban.

I know, I run virus scans nightly and I have used this company before guys, they have never scammed me. Even when they didnt have the in game currency to give they contacted me 2 days later and told me they were ready to give me the gold (except it was with a different game). I am just weary because I Don't want to get banned from WoW
eh, your money, do what you want with it, i find it stupid to pay 14 dollars for something which is easily obtainable in a few hours
I have posted before asking for help on good ways of making money and I get trolled, so i dont really know how to make money, the fastest I can make money is by farming clam meat but that takes a few days to sell.

Don't buy gold, what people do is hack other accounts and take all their gold. And people will have all their gold missing, and they will be on your friends list and they will be like "Do i know you... also, all my gold is gone."

Playing the AH is all I do really, I spend about 10 minutes a day on the AH and I make 1k a day. If I really wanted to I could spend more time and be making 2k a day.
Just playing the game will net you around 3k from 70-80 if I think right from when I was leveling. Also, if you have a gathering proffesion, just post your shit on the auction house and money will come in like crazy.

I made around 4800g from northrend quests while leveling. Cata quests around 6k
