Croteam has posted a small -- but not insignificant -- message about the state of Serious Sam 3 on its website. CEO Roman Ribaric says, quite simply, that the long-awaiting game will be arriving this summer. He also says that an official announcement is on the way. Based on the Twitter account associated with the series, we may very well get box art and screenshots whenever the reveal goes down. As someone who will always hold a special place in his heart for the Dooms, Painkillers, and Serious Sams of the world, this news pleases me greatly. Nothing against the recent high-def remakes, but we could use a new, built-from-the-ground-up Serious Sam. [Thanks, Smuckers]
Sauce:http://www.destructoid.com/croteam-serious-sam-3-coming-out-this-summer-193811.phtml Also, Croteam's CEO Roman Ribaric's Statement on the Official Croteam Site.
Just a quick note to let all Serious Sam fans know that Serious Sam 3: BFE is coming this summer 2011. Official annoncement will be released soon. Holy shit
Right after Duke Nukem: Forever, huh?
My wallet is ready. If it turns out great I hope that Gearbox and Croteam team up and make a Serious Sam and Duke Nukem crossover. It's already noted several times in SS games that Sam is probably a friend of Duke. Also, you guys remember the telephone joke in TSE about Duke Nukem Forever not coming out in 2001? :v:
Fuck yes.
what? 2011 for best PC games year
Oh god,YES!!!
SS2 wasn't all that in my opinion, so I don't think I'm going to get too worked up about it just yet. Who knows though, maybe it'll be more similar to the first and second encounters.
BFE = Battle for Earth?
SS2 sucked all forms of ass but the HD remakes of SS:FE and SS:SE weren't too shabby.
or Big fucking Erection? damnit automerge

Basically, TFE had warm and brown, TSE had cold/warm colorful and alive, and SS2 had cartoony style, and apparently they're trying to aim for a more DOOM-like atmosphere now, so we probably won't be seeing cartoony characters or corporate zombies anymore.
Why do people say that SS2 sucked ? It wasnt great like the first ones but you got some fun out of it, specially with coop.

SS3: I came buckets.

Though there's a good chance they could mess it up what with it being new territory and all, but I'm hoping it turns out well.
or Big fucking Erection? damnit automerge
best fuckinggame ever
i think SS2 should be regarded as Non-Cannon.but it was still fun (not awesome like it should have been though.)
I think that they actually said somewhere that they wanted to forget that SS2 ever happened.
And just when I thought 2011 couldn't become a better gaming year. A definite buy.
Cant wait to see the serious engine 3 in all its glory, the remakes just scraped the surface on what serious engine 3 can do.
This is going to be a gooood year for games. I absolutely LOVE the Serious Sam series.
Cant wait to see the serious engine 3 in all its glory, the remakes just scraped the surface on what serious engine 3 can do.
Yea, I remember their modern warfare-ish presentation and the Statue of Liberty and that one park in Zagreb and oh so much more to remember about that. I think that Croteam knows their shit.

I love it how it's also very optimized. Hell, TFEHD runs smoothly on a 2004 rig when maxed out for me. Also, I love it how some people tought that those pictures were taken in CoD4. :downs:
trailer should poke fun at DN:F
This, Duke Nukem, Portal 2, Deus Ex 3, Skyrim, Diablo III, Battlefield 3, Brink, L.A. Noire, Rage, Red Orchestra 2 and Postal 3 in one year?
This year will indeed be a memorable year for gaming.
Featuring over 10,000,000,000 enemies onscreen at once.
As long as it's more like Serious Sam 1 and less like Serious Sam 2, I'm hyped.
