What is Pure Pwnage? Pure Pwnage is a Toronto-based mockumentary based off the life of Jeremy (Played by Jarett Cale), a 'professional gamer'. The documentary follows him in the life of being a pro gamer. It sees him through his daily life as a gamer. Along the way, he has some interesting encounters with a childhood friend named Doug who appears to be a violent hyper-active adult-child, the non-gamer Kyle who is the cameraman for the show and his brother, a girl named Anastasia that he meets on WoW, and Dave, an excellent gamer and cook who appears to be the smartest and most logical of the group of characters. The TV series has Jeremy with another female co-star, his brother Kyle, Doug and some other cast members. It garnered a large following through it's course on the internet even reaching a peak of 3 million viewers. It's game-based comedy has gathered it a large fan-base in the gaming community and some of the phrases from it have become known world-wide (Boom! Headshot! is one of the phrases coined in the show). Here is a video that will give you an idea of what the show is The web-series eventually reached a block after Troy, the man who plays the character T-Bag in the series dies in a car crash. The cast was overwhelmed with grief and temporarily halted production. The TV Series: Hope was not lost however, as news came that Showcase, a popular Canadian broadcaster known for hosting shows such as Kenny vs. Spenny would be hosting a TV series of Pure Pwnage. This later became truth as 8 episodes premiered on Showcase and although it was criticized as being a "restart" of the web-series, it has garnered respect for it's fresh jokes and comedic value. Above: The new cast of the TV Series Pure Pwnage For those who are new and wish to see the series: Unfortunately, the TV Series is only officially available for Canadians on PurePwnage.com and Showcase.ca. I do not condone finding it on unofficial sources but it may be found on YouTube. However, the entire web-series CAN be found on PurePwnage.com. It's the best way to start watching PurePwnage as the way the continuum goes: -Jarett Cale is the real person. He used to play C&C Generals competitively but it not actually a professional gamer like his persona, Jeremy. -In the web-series, Jeremy is acting like his normal self. -In the TV Series, the TV Series is of Jeremy "acting" so when out of character, he is still Jeremy (Not Jarett) A little confusing but basically he becomes a double-actor. Recent news has revealed that Showcase has decided NOT to air a Season 2 of Pure Pwnage Currently, Pure Pwnage fans are leaving messages on the Showcase Facebook page. You can assist by leaving a message on the Showcase Facebook page and by showing your support at the Pure Pwnage forum at http://www.purepwnage.com/forums Pictures: Jarett and Geoff appeared as guests on the gaming show Good Game! for their 100th episode. Videos: Pure Pwnage hosted a competition to make a video for their song Big Big Big Da Balls. This was one of the better entries. Here we see part of Jeremy's uh... creative side. He's very imaginative. I hope this post brought some of you to enjoy this fine series. It has hope to continue but it needs more people. Let me know if you have any suggestions for OP or if this should be moved. I figured since the entire show is dedicated to Gamers, it would fit best here. Thank you.
I used to watch it back in the day. Then Troy passed away and I basically forgot about it. The TV show was pretty shithouse and now that Jarett has a son, I don't see much hope for it to ever be revived.

I wish it was still showing new episodes on the internet. :froggonk:
I wish it was still showing new episodes on the internet. :froggonk:
I remember them, it was a bloody long time ago. Are the new ones any good?
It's not on ABC2 anymore, fuck it was awesome.
My parents thought the fps_doug one was hilarious
It stopped when GG stopped, hopefully they still have a contract with the ABC and they return after GG.
Hopefully they can get someone to accept the Season 2 Concept they pitched. Otherwise: a continuation of the web-series would be great. It was fantastic while it lasted!
I watched this show so much when I first found it, but that was a while ago. It was freaking awesome.
After episode 7 it just got ridiculous. It jumped the shark pretty damn fast.
I should watch all the episodes again. It was so awesome.
jarret said it was 90% dead in an interview like a week ago. he said there is some hope that the series will be revived. i hope it will, ive been following it since the beginning :(
Late but the new info is helpful and cool What's their next project?
I only saw 1 or 2 episodes, it seemed pretty funny.
I remember this. thanks to it everyone has fps_ in front of their name
i just want a fucking ending that follows the webseries' storyline. i couldn't care less if they just said "dont consider the tv show canon, we will continue from where the webshow left off"
I have the pre-showcase DVD set. Solid show. Sad when that black guy got hit by a car.
fuck i miss this show :smith: i actually enjoyed waiting 4 months for a new episode
We can only hope that Geoff decides to do something with the series or that a TV provider decides to pick up the show. It definitely has a solid fan-base willing to watch it but networks are hesitant to risk money on something like a show about video games. Sad but true. I hope that this thread will inspire people who haven't seen the show/web-series to take a look though. It's still great.
Duty Calls was probably my favorite episode. I can watch it over and over again.
http://www.purepwnage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=73721&st=460&p=1961384&#entry1961384 After years of searching, the mysterious "never found" easter egg has been found after Jarett gave a hint in an interview that it involved sound and was in episode 4. Note: It has been officially confirmed by Jarett as the easter-egg. He posts later in the thread to say Confirmed.
If showcase doesn't want it why don't they just post it online.
I watched old episodes and liked them very much, the showcase shit was terrible... Doug was a mad FPS player, but he had a car, he was freaking driving it an all, like a normal person, but on the last showcase episodes, he's portraited as a fucking retard. 'least Jeremy wasn't fucked up too bad. Also Dave, where the hell is he.

More like Pure Shit to be honest
I loved the series, the TV show wasn't the greatest but it was still pretty good. Sad that Jarrett and co. have kind of abandoned the project but I completely understand they need to continue with their personal life.
I saw all the online episodes, but I think the TV series sucked ass.
Am I the only one who thought it was pretty shit? I just foudn there to be no humor whatsoever in the thing :colbert:
I went to a bunch of Toronto screenings. Signed xbox faceplate HOLLA. <3 Dave + Jeremy.
I loved PurePwnage. Too bad the web series will never be finished. :(
