From the studio who brought recent Sam and Max games, Tales of Monkey Island and the CSI games, Back To The Future is set to be a 5 part series, focusing around Marty McFly, set 6 months after the ending of the last BTTF film. The review concluded, "Fans will delight in the more nostalgic and clever moments of 'It's About Time', but it's a short, easy and somewhat bland introduction to the series, which we hope still has time to get a lot better."[39] In a two-out-of-five stars review, The Escapist said the game "doesn't quite get the tone [of the films] right and fails to offer up much compelling gameplay". The reviewer called the setting, situations, and characters "bland", further describing the characters as "cardboard nobodies".[40] The consensus among critics was that the voice acting was exceptional, with particular praise directed to A. J. LoCascio's impersonation of Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly. Most reviewers were critical of the episode's puzzles as being too simplistic and easy.[36][37][39][40] Review aggregator Metacritic assigned the episode an average review score of 77/100.[35][/quote] The first episode was reviewed well, the only slip up being it's replay value, but this genre of videogames have very limited replayability by nature. The game managed to caputre many trademarks of the series, along with snappy dialogue and a good story, with some original voice actors, and excellent stand ins. Hoping the other games will be just as good, the design is good, art style is excellent, and the characters voicing and mannerisms are really good, especially considering some of the original actors aren't present, such as Marty, the main character. I'd recommend everyone who is a fan of the series to give it a try, it really is awesome! I'm currently running through a let's play. No skipping of dialogue and no cut scene skipping either. Trying to make my commentary a bit better inbetween, but as a puzzle game i've already completed it's a bit difficult! Feel free to check it out, and i'll update it as i upload more parts! If your undecided about the game, watch the videos to try and see what it's like, and whether you like it. It follows a similar path to most point and click games, with inventory systems, and structured goals and storylines. I remember seeing this around on Steam. I hoped it was going to be similar to how you could drive the Delorean in one of those Crysis mods. Since I had no plans of buying it I guess I'll just watch your LP.

I'm still hoping someone picks up the franchise to make a 3rd person action game with it, it would be really great nowadays.
