Hello
I got a problem with the lighting in hl2. There's no shadow. Here's a link to the screenshot http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/31/wiatoz.png/.
It appears in the Black Mesa East chapter and continues till the end of the game. I do meet the
minimal requirements. Ep1 and Ep2 works correctly.
Mat_fullbright 1 and 0 doesn't work.
Appreciate any help.
The 2010 update borked that shit up real good.

Ok but what's in this link?
It's a fanmade update for HL2. It fixes most of the bugs.

Wasn't that the problem in the first place ... ?
Really nice patch, now i got no shadows on any maps and my graphics toatly screwed up,
The HDR is the problem. Wait for them to make a version without it, or get a better video card.
Okey okey now it works but i still got no shadow. But ep 1 and ep2 works and ep 1 is the same as hl2.

Turn HDR on totally.

you just said it works and now you say it has the same problem as hl2
did you install inside your half life 2 folder? if you did, try again, put it in your username folder.

Will completely fix it. Full bloom / check use bloom, etc.
if it's already on then mess with just that part in video settings.
I got a weird feeling that it works. But there are some few seconds glitches but generally its fine.
I didn't see any fps decreases
