Haven't played in a while and I feel like tanking, which one should I go for?
EDIT: I hear Warriors getting DPS nerf
Pally tank is pretty much faceroll, very easy.
Someone on my server described it like this earlier.
Pally: Automatic Car
Warrior: Manual Car
Well I hear a warrior nerf soon, will that effect their tanking?
And which one do you prefer?
I like my Pally tank just because it's easier to hold aggro.

Well I just started playing and I've been talking to my friend and he said pallies were unkillable tanks and better then warriors(Which is why I made one) and then he said they were gonna nerf pallys

Well, allow me let you in on a not-at-all secret: Blizzard loves Paladins. They are the original hero class. They're usually going to be overpowered, and if they're not overpowered most of the Paladin players on the World of Warcraft boards will scream and cry until they're overpowered again. Paladins ingame will refuse to believe this fact, and it is hilarious to watch them try and say they're perfectly in line with ever other class.

As the above poster said, Blizzard has always had a hard on for pallys. As do the players like your friend.

I wouldn't say they were unplayable, we had a ret, prot and holy paladin in TBC.
They were just... not great. atall. Besides, in vanilla it was Holy or GTFO. Besides, in Wrath i could kill any Prot pally with around 40k Health on my rogue, no problems, Prot warrior? fuck no, they could stunlock better than i could "We're balenced, nerf the paladins! :downs:"

prot was unplayable in vanilla and used as an offtank in encounters with adds during bc
holy has always been playable

Paladins are OP, the players, however, can't play Paladins, so they resort to whining for an easier class. This balances the fact that all paladin players are braindead idiots. I play a paladin.

except ret really is complete shit, i pull more DPS as prot than ret
anyone who can't accept that ret is terrible right now either hasn't played a pally or gets carried and doesn't notice their 7k dps

Never tried vanilla ret, gave it a first go late bc/early wrath, 30s seals removed on judgements and Seal of Blood. bad bad terrible times.

I'm not even finding it hard to pull 13k on 5man bosses, im only in full 346, i have no idea what scrubs you're pulling numbers from, we're behind, we're not useless as ret, bad players are just using the class's current state to excuse their mediocrity.

to be frank i dont think ret will ever be balanced because its poorly designed. even more so with the whole new cata 'whack a mole' gameplay

Unplayable? Hardly. I saw many Paladins of every spec during BC at top level, in normals, heroics and raids. They were everywhere, and they were doing fine.
Yeah, I hate people who started in Wrath and think they know everything too. It's a good thing I've been playing since vanilla.
Shield Toss:
more damage than my mortal strike,
ranged,
silences,
affects multiple targets,
instant,
etc.
Lets just sit down and think about this. Not even in the name of balance but why should hurling a shield like a fucking fisbee do anywhere near as much damage as the best strike with a two handed weapon?
