Which do you prefer and which offers the best bang for the consumer buck.
Minecraft, at least right now. That's one purchase you WILL NOT regret, at least until you have to sell all of your furniture to support your addiction.
I did that once, I was addicted to peanut butter.
Dark times...
Oh yeah.
Both are hella sweet, but I would go for Minecraft.
Favor minecraft over furry.
what's project overgrowth? a google search just got me links to gardening equipment...
Minecraft, definitely. I don't know how big Overgrowth will be, but it definitely won't take up as much as my time as Minecraft has. It's not even a matter of which is better, because Minecraft has a stupidly high replay value in spite of such factors.
@imperialrock: It's a ninja-rabbit fighting game that's the sequel to Lugaru, which was packed in the humble indie bundle sporting N64 graphics and barebones (but addictively tough to master) gameplay. Overgrowth looks to be deeper and much, much prettier.

Minecraft.
Overgrowth will be awesome eventually, but the game isn't even being made yet, they're still playing with the engine, could be years before you get anything out of it.
Oh, Overgrowth. Not Project Overgrowth.
I'd say Minecraft. Overgrowth is great so far, but Minecraft's in a far more playable state.
If you're only planning on getting ONE game in the next few years then wait for Overgrowth, but right now it's kind of a no brainer to go for Minecraft.
People have trouble reading the rules these days.
