We need the old Synergy back! - Games

The older version of Synergy was way better. - More weapons - More models - More modes - A better system for voice commands - Better healing system - You could put your gun down and just walk (which looked cool) - The jeeps had a passenger seat, now everyone gets their own jeep which has its seat totally up the ass and when if flips over it is allmost impossible to flip back again So, do you think that it should be changed back?

Just play Obsidian Conflict, it's better anyways.

I bet they'll just ignore you, but it's true that the old synergy was and still is better. I downloaded it somewhere, filefront i thought...

They should do what they did with the jalopy - add the Syn van for everyone else.

That's why that mod sucks.

It sucks because there's SOME Players who are into something that you personally don't like? Seriously? That's not valid reasoning, it's just fucking pathetic. Neither the oc site, forums or the game itself is designed in an anime theme or you'll get swamped with anime related material. Anime models in the game can easily be avoided by either not downloading the custom playermodel packs or by removing the models that bother you. May also not join specific servers if you think they are filled with anime fans. Besides, it's not like people talk all like "Kawaii desu oguu ^_^" on these servers like some people here think. I have yet to see that in my 3 years of oc. But oh well, :bandwagon: We also still have a good amount of players and the mod is far from dead. 1.35 is on its way with a big content update and that should give us a huge player boost as well.

Only some of the players like anime and that my friend is the only thing anime related thing besides optionally downloadable playermodels you will see. Every time I try playing OC half the servers are based in Europe or Japan or something so the latency is like 350. I could never even find a server with more than 3 people on it in synergy. In the end I just played Sven Coop instead.

Oh dear this thread's turned into an argument about Greenland and Orange County. Sven Co-op is best.

I realize sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet, but the lack of punctuation (okay, I can understand why you wouldn't notice that) and the fact that I said "On a serious note" immediately afterward should have been hints.

Obsidian conflict is more like smod co-op. Take a guess where smod originated from and you'll see why people automatically connect it with anime. Synergy is HL2 co-op. When it changed to steam support, the mod lost all of the half life monsters, the third person mode, the SL8 and MP5K, about half of the voice commands, the ability to see how much health your ally and enemy had, and much of the playerbase which couldn't run episode 2 and since there's hunters every single God damn map maker's gone hunter crazy and spam the damn things over every map they make. Thus the mod is nearly dead when compared to how it used to be. I still got the version before it deleted all that stuff.

Because: Japan = Anime I personally Anime + Robots + Fucking Awesome Technology - Overcrowded = Japan

This was a discussion about synergy, right? The only old weapons that are still in the game are the mp5k and the machine gun, but the models aren't included however you can get the models and textures from several sources, put them into the correct folders and the game should load them. I played on a server which had MP5ks.

It's my opinion and I don't speak out for others, I just say that it sucks due to anime tards.
