• Mass Effect 3 - possibly getting multiplayer

Job vacancy posted by a EA recruiter on LinkedIn: Apparently the message was removed pretty quickly. I remember Bioware toying with the idea of co-op in Dragon Age and Mass Effect, so they might have decided to go for it.
I would really like to see this happen. I however don't want it to turn into another Call of Duty. A great co-op would be absolutely fantastic however.
Co-op in Mass Effect would be awesome.
Co-op would be great, not sure about deathmatch or anything else since the cover system would be intensely annoying.
Bullshit, no way there'd be MP in ME3. Perhaps sp/mp/coop game taking place during the FCW or after ME3. No way there'd be MP in ME3.
The MP there is only to prevent piracy. A good multiplayer is the best antipiracy method, fact. Too bad it won't be good.
Interesting... That's all I have to say. It will be a huge surprise if something happens.
I dunno', maybe it's just me, but i've never felt ME lacked Multiplayer, and if anything, adding it, for me, wouldn't really do anything for me. Seems like they should focus on the awesome storyline, voice acting, characters and locations, rather than trying to tack on a multi player aspect, that IMO, isn't needed.
I do not believe BioWare Montreal does Mass Effect, I think that is the Star Wars division [editline]11:51AM[/editline] So, more than likely a spin-off
If it does I bet it'll somehow be worse than Bioshock 2s.

Is Mass Effect 3 really a PS3 exclusive, or was it just a bad dream?
Please no, I want them to focus 100% singleplayer. There's a lot of games that have multiplayer already.
Is Mass Effect 3 really a PS3 exclusive, or was it just a bad dream?
All games were for PC aswell, so I doubt it.
It was just a bad dream. that "e3 release sheet" was a fake.
It wouldn't make any sense either because the previous titles were never released on the PS3. Imagining Mass Effect with multiplayer sounds kind of bad, it has always been an amazing singleplayer experience, and chances are the multiplayer will just be tacked on.
I always felt ME1 and ME2 needed 3 player co-op. Other than that, it doesn't need any multiplayer options. But Co-op, sure. I'd have sex with whoever is at the top of bioware to get co-op.
Mass Effect is an example of a game that doesn't need multi-player. When playing through the first, it never once occurred to me that the gameplay would make for great multi-player. I want it to stay pertained to the realm of story-driven and polished single-player. 2K made the mistake of trying to develop a multi-player game on top of Bioshock 2, and it fell flat on its face. I don't know if the same would happen to Mass Effect 3, but I'd suspect it. Leave Call of Duty and Halo to online play, and keep Mass Effect single-player. It just feels right. I do agree with the idea of co-op, though. That would be awesome, except romancing one of your mates in your party would be kind of creepy.
That E3 thing didn't say PS3 exclusive, it was implying the coverage was exclusive to the PS3 press conference.
If they add multiplayer, fine. But for gods sake, keep the quality of both the singleplayer and the multiplayer, don't just rush one and perfect the other.

Co-op would be good but any VS mode would probably just turn into whack-a-mole with sniper rifles
VS would suck, biotics would rape everyone and engineers wouldn't stand a chance, they'd be forced to use only sniper rifles.
I got Mass Effect a few days ago. Man what I have missed. It's so damn good.
they might do a portal 2 style multiplayer and have a separate campaign for coop.

And remember what happened when Bungie focused on Multiplayer? That's right, truly mediocre singleplayer.
ME is just one of those games that doesn't need multiplayer, co-op would be great but not multiplayer.
Versus multiplayer could be good. But honestly I don't care. It could be absolutely perfect and I'd play maybe 5 games and be done. Coop would be pretty awesome, as long as it works completely like singleplayer. Not some stupid coop only missions tacked on.
3 player co-op sex mode.
