• Killing Floor not connecting to servers.

I got Killing Floor retail earlier today and tried to connect to a server. It doesn't connect; it either says "connecting to server" or something pops up saying "connection failed". Help a guy out?
I'm assuming you have it linked with your steam account. Make sure no antivirus programs are blocking it.
Nothing's blocking it.
Have you opened the necessary ports?
How do I do that?
You need to go to http://portforward.com/ and find your router, then follow the instructions. The ports you need are the following: 7707 UDP/IP (Game Port) 7708 UDP/IP (Query Port) 7717 UDP/IP (GameSpy Query Port) 28852 TCP/IP and UDP (Allows your Server to Connect to the Master Server Browser) 8075 TCP/IP (Port set via ListenPort that your WebAdmin will run on) 20560 UDP/IP (Steam Port)
Do I do that before I play KF? One thing is why didn't Tripwire make it so you don't have to do that, like with Red Orchestra?
Yes do it before you running Killing Floor and hopefully you should be able to play. You might also want to try adding the KF exe to an exception in Windows Firewall.
