My friends bought BC2 before me and later told me to get it too. When I finally got it, I was massively dissapointed. So I seem to be the only one who critizises the game (ass backward spawn system, weapons in softcore, lag, linear maps, et.c.). Many times it happens that they want me to come and play, but I don't want to. They ask why, I explain to them. Then they start bitching that I just hate the game because I'm not good at it. The truth is: I do love a challenge, but I can see when something is frustating because it doesn't work. I'm trying to execute real Recon tactics which don't seem to work for me in BC2 and sniping is hard because of the low framerate. I have a 0.19 K/D ratio which I'm not ashamed of because I tend to play like a gentleman (not camping switching positions to not be spotted) but I allways seem to get into CQB's with Assault soldiers or Medics. Sometimes they start to bash some of the games that I like because of this. Because I don't like BC2 and hate MW2. And one of these friends has turned his, mine and my other friends Rainbow Six Vegas co-op nights to: Us two waiting for him to decide wether he wants to keep on with BC2 or come and play R6V with two of his closest friends. This often leads to 30 mins of waiting and a negative answer. The only thing with BC2 is that it was a big fuzz when talked about it as a MW2 killer. It's a very mediocre game that has only one catch: the 10 destroyable prefabs.
Lucky. My friends are all MW2 fanboys.
Lucky. My friends are all MW2 fanboys.
This.
Appreciate it while you can. My friends are all MW2 fanboys. They are no longer my friends. ...And they no longer resemble humans.
Unlucky. My friends are all RDR fanboys :smug:
At first, I thought it you were going to like Modern Warfare 2 over Bad Company, then I saw the last sentence of the first section. (Even WORSE spawning system). Personally, I get a kick out of Bad Company's unique game play and weapons system, and it's spawning system seems great to me. I'm going to guess, because of your frame-rate and lag issues, are you playing on the PC? Because if you are, then those are almost inevitable.
I can see why you might not like the game but it's not at all mediocre.
BC2 Fanboys > MW2 Fanboys
yeah, its definitely better than mw2, but I got bored of it pretty quicckly after about a month or 2, dont really play it so I ended up selling it, I'll just stick to the halo games for FPS
People at my school doesn't even know what BC2 is and if they do, they think it's the second BF game ever created. Everyone in my school is a MW2 and PS3 fanboy.
People at my school doesn't even know what BC2 is and if they do, they think it's the second BF game ever created. Everyone in my school is a MW2 and PS3 fanboy.
OMFG. This is EXACTLY the same as my school.
I just want to know what's so good about Call of Duty... It's just... broken.
Lucky. I don't have friends.
You're not alone in your opinion. Bad Company 2's sheen has worn off for me. It's just frustrating and generally static.
we only have mw2 fanboys, but there arent that many of them, and its still fun to play private games with them every once in a while, I only know like 2 other people with bc2, but on of them is kinda a fanboy and got mad when I sold mine, and quite a lot of people got rdr, but none of them are really fanboys (yet)
My friend was a massive COD fanboy, he bought Turtle Beach X41's, was in a clan etc, but then one day decided he was gonna sell his 360 to build a gaming pc (rejoice)...to play wow :saddowns:
I've only played BC2 for 50 hours, even though I preordered it. Maybe its my framerate; but thats what I get for getting scammed into Nvidia's fucking "GTS 250" idea I don't know though; I just don't find myself playing it even though I like the game alot. Maybe its because in pubs nobody teamworks, and its mostly just infantry battles. I miss the huge maps / vehicle battles from other battlefields.
Really it's not that big of a deal, at least they are not Modern Warfare 2 fanboys
But it's such horse shit when they start dissing my opinion of a game they like. I give it proper critique and get answer like: L2P I paid 55 euros for this game so I should have a right to complain. I also expected a semi-realistic tactical shooter (like BF games have been before) but since the people appearing out of eachothers asses and the rush happy gameplay, complex tactics and planning seems useless. Sniper, shoot them in the head. Assault and Medic supress from both sides while the Engineer takes care of that tank. Thank to the assy spawns (literally) and the shockpads being able to assemble oblitirated brains in less than a second. These tactics are incredibly complex to achieve, not to mention that a RPG or a 40mm grenade might come from somewhere. Also when I've been playing as Assault, the 1 on 1 firefights have allways been: Two men running around shooting bursts towards eachothers heads and the one with the more powerfull gun or with the better connection is the winner. Post Scriptum. Is it possible to re-use the CD for BC2 so that I could swap it for a more compelling game? P.P.S. Have you noticed how fucking linear the maps are? Well defined paths with slopes on the sides added with the players physical handicap considering slopes.
Fucking lucky, everyone at my school is an xbox tard, all they do is talk about Modern Warfare 2 all day, any mention of BC2 will have you ridiculed upon by others. This is basically how a conversation between MW2 and BC2 goes on in my school,
I don't care about K/D much but if you have a 0.19 K/D then you might just suck horribly at the game and not like it for that fact.
Well maybe you shouldn't play as Recon then, dummy. Grab a machinegun and a medkit, you won't need to aim much.
So this thread made me want to play BC2 again and I quit after the first round. Battlefield is the only series to make me ragequit out of a game, fucking cunting recon cocks.
you're lucky, my friends have never heard of BC2, let alone play it. :sigh:
Lucky, everyone in my environment is playing that old piece of shit called Counter Strike. At least one of my friends enjoys a good round of TF2.
I moved from Garrysmod, to Counterstrike Source, to MW2, to Bad Company 2, to Red Dead Redemption, dawg. ITS A CYCLE I'M DOOMED TO REPEAT
My friends are crazy fanboys of mw2. One got the game about three months after I did (I got mine at Christmas) and he's played more than I have. I've played about 8 days. And when they say .50 cal is the best sniper, and I say that I like the intervention better, they go into a LONG argument about how the barrett is a fraction more powerful and that makes it a fuckton better. I say that it all goes down to personal preference and they're like, "NO! THE .50 CAL IS SEMI-AUTOMATIC SO IT'S A LOT EASIER TO TAKE OUT GROUPS!" Me: "But what about the shitty recoil?" Them: "WELL IT'S BETTER THAN THE INTERVENTION'S!" Me "..."
I don't care about K/D much but if you have a 0.19 K/D then you might just suck horribly at the game and not like it for that fact.
One reason might be that I tend to get spawnkilled. Or sniped by another recond. Or getting killed by people who of RPG's as anti-personell weaponry. I have a KDR above 1 in all other games.
am I the only one that on this forum that enjoys MW2?
Lucky. I don't have friends.
Isn't that a good thing? [editline]11:40PM[/editline]
am I the only one that on this forum that enjoys MW2?
Don't worry, I still enjoy it... Now I need to stop playing in free weekends and actually buy it :sigh:
