I would love to design a strategy game in world war two. Something like the total war games but set in a much later era and plane battles, also to be able to go from being a general into a soldier on the battlefield. That would be my perfect strategy game.
Post your ideas.
It would be li-- NO, it would BE Fuck Shit Up.
Zombie MMO with barricading and such.
game where you have to survive storm, terrorist attack, plane hijack, WTC
dat shit bro
dat freakin shit
Zombie open world RPG. Like GTA but Zombies.
One day it will happen...
A base-building RTS first person/third person fighter.
Fuck Shit Up! the game. Available for PC whenever the fuck it want to be.
Real life but you can respawn. Simple. Also sandbox options to start wars, add zombies, change weather, become rich etc.
Infinity: The Quest for Earth.
I am serious, I'm so hyped. I don't want this to be vaporware.
An FPS game created for competitive e-sports and league play.
No vehicular combat. No 64 man public servers.
Oh and with a sick instant-ban anti-cheat client.
What is dumb about this? This is what I WOULD DESIGN. Perfectly valid thought, nothing dumb about it.
A story driven FPS set during the American revolution but with zombies forcing the two waring nations to unite to defeat the common enemy.
It would be win.
Pure, golden, coated with silver, platinum and diamonds, win.
A Modern/Futuristic Invasion resistance management game with the gameplay of Men of War, cross with X-com and some other management aspects, having to steal fuel, ammo, weapons etc for your resistance cell and also able to sell or trade surplus material for what you need.
Like Wurm online, but without the shittynes.
A Vietnam FPS. Multiplayer, like Day of Defeat.
Just had an idea for a game that I REALLY want to make a source mod for. I know nothing about source modding but I may start learning just for this.
I got the idea from space Station 13 thread where someone was talking about being evil and killing off the people by trapping them and removing the air and stuff.
The idea:
A multiplayer only game set in space.
Two teams.
Trying to kill each other by locking them in places and removing the oxygen. Err my mind has gone blank. but trust me, this will be awesome!
Edit: Ok ok, I got it. I would basically be like CSS Death Run but not shitty. A computer controlled AI (or a player) is the AI of a space ship, like HAL9000. The crew of so many have to do something to live but there is an obstical to overcome to make winning all the more fun? err. yes
Space game with a huge budget, nice cutscenes, involving story, fun gameplay involving ship damage.
Mine would be an MMO exactly like Wurm online (you can completely mold the landscape, build structures, war people...) and everything is made by the player. However, unlike Wurm, it would actually be playable and not in Java or whatever.
Ok right. So there is four of you like in Left 4 Dead, working as a team on the space ship. You have to regulate oxygen levels and steer the ship from asteroids at random moments.
Game Mode A: The problem is that the computer has gone crazy as a motherfucker. It's 5 vs 1. Last person alive becomes the computer. As with game mode B there are problems with the ship. The AI (controlled by someone) can also set up fake problems and alarms (like in 2001 where HAL says there is a problem with the satellite and traps the guy outside. Less needed things (like a satellite) are more deadly traps.
Lets say the computer says there is a problem with the electricity and the lights will fail in 3 minutes. It's a dangerous task but not doing it looses the lights making it harder to see other stuff.
Or maybe there is a gas leak (poisonous but not flammable) in the part of the ship you're in. Either the engineer can go fix it, losing health by being exposed to the gas, or the group can move to another part of the ship.
Game Mode B: During a hit by an asteroid (there were loads and so end up being hit by one, even though you try and move out the way) and in seeps a strange living liquid/ooze. The strange substance is corrosive to humans and if you get 'eaten' by the ooze then it grows more powerful and shit like that.
I haven't decided whether you should respawn, it would be a bit boring for the players if you didn't.
The aim of the game is to keep rearing the ship and looking after it while trying to find out how to get rid of the substance.
You can do this by: getting close to it and collecting samples to find out it's weakness' (different every time so you can't just kill it with fire every time.
Lets say it's weakness is fire, this time.
You could fine chemicals in the science department to combine and make a bomb. The problem is that you are on the otherside of the ship and the substance lies between you and the science department.
Or perhaps you could lead into a trap of a section of the ship. Then totally remove this part of the ship and let it float away.
More later. Feedback? Would you like to see this (but better) made?
Edit: Might try it in Fretta.
Also, it would be semi class based. Captain of the ship, Science Officer, Security and Engineer. There is a limit of 2 of each class in a game of 5 people. They can all do everything but say; the scientist faster at science stuff, security has better aim.
It would be a fantasy-modern, FPS when you're some chosen hero which you're not aware of, and some agents had their eyes on you, you're chased around, you find a stone which you can call out the beast to fly with and fight against the evil forces.
Or this other fantasy-steam punk game, a 4 cornered kingdom representing the 4 symbols. You're the peasant with it's brother who's an archeologist who found a stone but tossed it aside. You pick it up and(mind you, you're practically a baby at first) ate it. It was a magical stone that gives you unknown powers to use for good or evil. Don't know, random ideas!

Sounds goood, go on...
A Red Storm Rising FPS/wargame. On the ground as an infantryman it would play similar to ArmA with thousands of individual AI entities (friendlies, enemies, civilians and animals). Battles would play out real-time with numbers on the divisional scale. In an armored vehicle the controls and gameplay would be similar to Steel Beasts minus the high price and shit. Flying helicopters would be like in Longbow 2 and flying jets would resemble LOMAC.
Up one level and you can command a company of guys World in Conflict style. Attention would be given on giving your AI platoon leaders the orders so per unit micromanaging would be highly discouraged.
At the top level you are a theater commander and the units are now NATO symbols on a map of Germany. You would move them hex by hex and time can be accelerated to skip the boring moments. Supply lines, weather and attrition play an important role now. This is where operational things like encirclement and operational-maneuver-groups would be applied.
Second idea is basically all the elements of space trading and combat games like X3 transferred into Crimson Skies. It would be set on the North American west coast from Alaska to California as detailed as GTA SA's world (at least). Your career is open to you. Want to be a pirate, militia pilot, trader, mercenary or crazed loner? You can do all that. There would be a ton of planes and airships to purchase, but it doesn't stop you from building one yourself from scratch.
Sorry for hijacking this thread by getting to serious with my idea. so I moved it to here
Space Game :words:
Ever heard of Space Station 13? This, but in 2D.
Anyway, see this post and this one for my previous game ideas.
EDIT: rate me dumb, did not read all of Wu's post.
Stealth-Action game involving the dude in my avatar.
Set in some slums somewhere in the 1920-30s.
It would involve a variety of gruesome fear tactics.
And there would be multiplayer.
A zombie based game, usually in either user-selectable First or Third person. Has a neighborhood view like the Sims, but a lot more houses to start off in. You can customize your character. There will be 5-10 guns in various categories of weapons, all with attachments that are purchaseable/findable.
Your house can be set up and barricaded with the same Build View as the sims, but you can make minor adjustments in regular playmore (re-attach boards, etc) In-depth vehicle system with damage similar to Mercs 2 or GTAIV.
Some other things too, but those are basics.
There would be lots of sex and guts
A vehicular combat game inspired by the likes of Twisted Metal, Interstate '76 and Carmageddon, I'll probably get round to it one day instead of just modding Source.
snip-
A game with fuzzy rabbits that shoot eachother with cattots.
Super explosions and extreme gore.
A game where my parents never split up.
