I don't know why, I can't stop using cheats in singleplayer games. It seems that in most of the games I play, I have to use cheats on the first playthrough or something. I can't stop using cheats somehow. Its annyoing, maybe its just me that hates dying on the very same spot and reloading FROM THE GODDAMN START.
Anyone else had such a problem?
And I'm talking about singlplayer cheats.

It's a subconscious thing. Deep down you have an inferiority complex so you make up for it by trying to feel superior to everyone you meet. Of course you don't like confrontation though so you can't do this to real people and so it manifests itself in video games. The cheats make you feel better by allowing you to do anything you wish as many times as you like.

When I can't win I use a cheat but only on that spot. I know from myself that if I "try out" some cheats I'm sure to use them again and again and fuck up my savegame and get stuck in godmode or have 99999999 cash.
On second playthroughs, however, I cheat like my life depends on it (apart from Dragon Age: Origins and the like, as the playthroughs vary very much).
Games are not so hard these days. I cheat only when "fooling around" and that's temporary.
I had to cheat when doing Little Rocket Man because he went over a fence that was clipped off :(

Obviously you haven't played Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2. Those are the most rewarding games I've ever played.

I like to finish games within a day or two because I'm very impatient with the storyline, so if the game takes longer than said day or two I use cheats.
Also I always play on easy, again because I want the game finished as quick as possible.

You're missing out on a LOT.
When I was little I would cheat because the games I played were designed for an older audience that could understand everything. Now there are never cheats in games anymore, or at least fun ones.
Nowadays it's all "GODMODE" and "INFINITE MONEY" Where are all the cheats from yesteryear such as "BIG HEAD MODE" and "EVERYBODY HAS ROCKET LAUNCHERS" :frown:

"ALL PEDESTRIANS ARE ELVIS" is far better than "SPAWN A PWNMOBILE" really. I liked dumb cheats like that.

Saints Row 2 has some nice cheats, like making yourself a giant or a dwarf, even raining pedestrians.

I only cheat do do things that are tedious, or that I know I can do, just to lazy to do.
Example:
In FO3, I gave myself Lincolns repeater, was too lazy to retrieve it from the museum of history.
Cheats are for pussy ass bitches.

When I was like 10 I couldnt play a game without cheating but now games arent very challenging anymore so I dont use em :)
